We have so many cool Season Finale Threads and questions that I was inspired to begin a new Thread so that we can share about all of the shows that we enjoy watching!

I love television & I love finales. :) :snap:

Any thoughts on Season finales that you're looking forward to? Or have already watched? Were they enjoyable? Disappointing? Please share!

Tonight I'll be all wrapped up in the final American Idol. I also posted in the Sooo Thread that I fell asleep during the Law & Order: SVU finale last night and am dying to know what happened (Thank you, Prudence, for sharing & letting me know!) I thought the Law & Order: Criminal Intent finale was kind of depressing. Detective Logan seems so broken & desperate for human contact. :( Next season, Criminal Intent will be moving to the USA Channel.

The final Sopranos episode is approaching and I can't wait to see how the series will end. I have missed the last two episodes but I Tivo the show so I need to catch up soon! I still can't believe Christopher was sorta-pseudo whacked. :(

I cannot be the only television junkie on this Board, so c'mon y'all and post your thoughts! :)

Hmm... I'm a TV junkie that stopped watching TV regularly. It's a strange, strange thing. The only show I was really into this year (and all because I caught up online over the last week and a half) was Heroes.

Intermittently, I like to watch a lot of random shows, so I tend to not get wrapped into finales. It's not like "The Girls Next Door" or "Mythbusters" really gets the whole "finale" treatment, anyway.

I need to go figure out when Heroes: Origins starts.

Dancing with the Stars Season Finale.... I was hoping Joey Fatone was going to win. Was kind of bummed about that... the finale was cute.. was nice to see all of them back on the dancefloor... congrats little ice skater twink boy...

Wow, I must be tired... I totally read that as Dancing with the Star Wars Season Finale.

I'm going to crash pretty hard tonight, after my last final.

I'll tell you the show that has sucked us in, big time, is The Riches with Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver. Its season finale is approaching and we are bummed. It's really a great show. Luckily, Weeds starts up in another couple of months. That has to be about the best written show I've ever seen on TV.

Well as much as i wanna watch the finale of American Idol tonite's season finale of LOST will be on as well. Not sure about this season what i really thought about it. To be honest i loved season 1. Season 2 i kinda only watched here and there due to interest in American Idol. Then Season 3 i've watched all the way thru. I do like the whole character flashbacks etc storyline of each episode. It gave us viewers more what a certain person was like history etc. But some of the episodes i thought weren't the best and i'm like how can this show keep going til 2010? I mean wrap it up so to speak but there are so many unanswered questions.

For someone who used to have the TV on whenever I was home, I am so pleased I seem to be a successful recovering television addict ... free of the habit for nearly five years!

There was a period when my tv was broke, and I simply quit. I stopped picking up new shows, and just watched my current ones till they either went off the air or jumped the shark.

I still catch up on good shows by renting the DVDs. From this season, I'm likely to rent Heroes. I'm really glad that Weeds got picked up. I'll probably check out the 3rd season of Lost, even though it may shark jump right there.

But I'm down to one show that is still on the air that I've watched from the "old days." And it's going off the air in two weeks. The Sopranos dates from the time when I watched TV regularly, and its highly anticipated series finale means not only an end to one of the best shows of all time, but the end of a lifetime of regular series viewing by me.

Quite a milestone. I'll miss The Sopranos, but I revel in my new life of not being glued to the set.

:iSm:

Who am I kidding? I'm watching some Netflix disc or another most nights.

Same here. 3 Netflix waiting for me at home in case I'm bored over the long weekend (not). Commercial TV I watch almost none, Project Runway was my last regular must watch thing, and I see that is coming back. I loved Rome on HBO, but The Sopranos I saw season 1, then I moved to VA and did not have HBO, now I'm back and watching the end of the series, which is kinda weird.

I loved the first Law & Order: CI finale, the one with the A team of Goren/Eames. I hope the writers carry over Goren's reaction into next season.

I sort of half watched the SVU finale, but I also taped it, so I am going to go back and watch again. Looks like a lot of shakeups among the team!

SVU - So not cool what the former captain did to Cragen. I wonder if Cragen is going down now. I was near tears when they took Kathleen off to jail. It seems most of the squad had something brushed under the rug. I hope former captain can live with himself. Scum. Is Elliott going to go home now?

NCIS - Great ending. I so love Mark Harmon. Probably the only one here who watches it.

Jericho - SERIES finale :( I hate when networks do that. NBC did that to Surface last year. Only hope is the serious media attention grabbing campaign to bring it back. So far CBS sounds like they will give us a movie for closure. Hopefully there is a season 2.

Those, Lost and 24 are the only shows I watch on a regular basis. And by regular basis I mean TIVO and watch when I can.

Dunno if i should post this here or in the LOST thread but last nite wow. Questions going thru my head at this moment even after watching the finale. I'll post in the LOST Thread what i thought etc.

Ok since this is the season finale thread i might as well post it in here as well. Ok LOST had me going near the end of the show last nite. I still have questions today as to what happened will happen. First off poor poor Charlie but i wonder is he really dead? i know i know Locke was presumably shot and left for dead as well and he came back last nite or his character did anyways. SO maybe and the damn news commerical said "Is Charlie really dead find out at 11pm news"? So i'm wondering but if he really is dead then :( Cuz i really liked his character.

Second Jack and Kate...if they had have something going on why was she is she with Sawyer.? And when they were rescued (flash forward to the ending) did she say to Jack "I have to go he'll be wondering where i am" meaning Sawyer i imagine.

Why do they have to go back to the island for anyways? I would think you're rescued why go back there. And if it wasn't Penny's boat and Ben is right then why were they rescued when Ben said that the people are evil and will kill everyone? That part doesn't make sense at least at the moment. Maybe when Season 4 starts we'll get some answers as to that.

Oh Ally please send me your cell number hon. SO i can put it in my phone asap.

Isn't his daughter Kathleen and his wife Kathy?

His daughter who had a DUI disappear a few seasons ago. Last night the scum bag former captain (who Cragin took down) exposed it and the blond judge from Who's the Boss re-issued the DUI after she made it go away.

I'm waiting for them to bring back Steven Botchco's Cop Rock.

LOLOLOLOL!!! :D That sucked so fabulously! Who EVEN thought up that premise?? More so, who gave it the greenlight? Why not Doc Rock, set in a hospital? Why the choice of cops???

My awesome Dad is a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff. Long ago, he was forced to trade in his uniform & black, steel-toe regulation boots in favor of a khaki leotard & patent leather tap shoes. Watch out if he should pull you over. You had better have lots of time on your hands because before you sign that ticket you'll need to watch his all white-guy review of the Candyman Can. It's rather breathtaking. He's also kind of a rebel, so sometimes during a raid he'll wear his pink ballet slippers & a flouncy tutu. This way he can leap and pirouette his way through any random Meth Lab. DUH! It allows for quick get aways.

And when my Dad was shot? He sang I am Woman Hear Me Roar throughout the whole agonizing ordeal.

Friggin' A. Now Cop Rock is all making sense to me!

;) :p

OOOOH!! His wife is Kathleen/Kathy & his daughter is Maureen. Their names are very similiar!!

Maureen has to go to jail?? :( This episode sounds so tragic & sad. :(

Thank you for filling me in! :) I can't believe I missed most of it!

Did anybody catch the Desperate Housewives finale? Why did Edie Britt (Nicolette Sheridan) hang herself?? :( (Because she's engaged to Michael Bolton is not a legit answer, folks) ;)

I stopped watching & tivo'ing Desperate Housewives midway through the season (because The Sopranos were back! :snap:) However, my Grandma was watching DH last Sunday night (she forgot The Sopranos were on) and I caught the very end of it. Poor Edie. Yikes!

I love TV & even if I don't watch a certain TV show I'll still know details that I shouldn't because I read TV Guide & Entertainment Weekly every single week. Kinda tragic, yes, but it did help me kick-ass and win at my cousin's Bridal Shower last Sunday when one of the games was "Famous TV Couples". :)

The shows I absolutely love & try to never miss are:

The Sopranos
The Simpsons
Heroes
American Idol
Law & Order: SVU

Other then that, I'm usually skipping around cable channels (I'm a big E! Entertainment addict). Reality shows are definitely not my bag, with the exception of The Girls Next Door & The Hills. :)

(and if there is anyone who watches... did they only make Maria white/american and Tony/Mexican, or did they reverse the whole gangs?)

And kudos to Justin. Nice singing for a very young man.

And Henry.... I have to wait till the next season to find out about Henry and Charlie!?!?!?!?

Aww!! Shucks!! :( we can always hit up Prudence & BarTopDancer for details! :)

Has anybody seen a show called Divine Canine on Animal Planet? I've watched it a few times. The most adorable, unruly pups attend a training program at a retreat run by Monks. I love watching the little guys go from out-of-control to totally obedient! Most of the puppies are just suffering from being overly humanized (they sleep on & take over the bed & pillows. They ride around in baby strollers for their daily "walk". You know, all of the things I would be totally guilty of.)

One show I cannot watch is Animal Precinct. While most have happy endings, I cannot stomach the abuse and I actually don't just get tears in my eyes, I full-on wail & sob. Last time, my boyfriend had to turn it off and comfort me while I buried my head in his chest and just wept endlessly. :(

Did anybody catch the Desperate Housewives finale? Why did Edie Britt (Nicolette Sheridan) hang herself?? :(

Edie was in love with Carlos, and she promised him a baby if he'd stay with her. But she kept taking her birth control pills. Carlos found them. He said he'd never trust her again and it was a huge scene at Gabby's wedding. Edie was heartbroken- he meant it. I loved how she bared herself to him, but then he basically shut his eyes to what she was doing. She was on her way to becoming a real person, but then came the whole thing- Carlos wants a baby more than just about anything except possibly to have Gabby back. Edie thought she could snare him with the promise of a baby but no.

Poor Edie. She was doing so well. The manipulative little snake. :) But she was learning. Sort of.

What? Larry bites it???? I knew they sent him to outer space and he was on 24. There were references to him being back but still not calling ... what's her name... Megan. He didn't get in touch with Megan because he's ... well, himself. They hadn't said anything happens with him though- I thought he was doing fine.... I'll miss him, too. I liked him. I liked him on Ally McBeal, I like him on 24, and I liked him here.

I don't watch the show - but I know generally what it's about.

This morning the were discussing it on the radio and a caller called in and said they didn't watch much - but the one episode they did watch the guy - Tony? - was telling another guy something to effect of:

When you get whacked you'll never see it coming. Everything will just go black.

Seems like a fitting way to end it based on that.

Thank you, guys! I still haven't watched it (I was way too tired after a weekend in Vegas to dedicate myself to anything besides sleep)!

I spoke with my Grandma last night, who watched The Sopranos & she said she loathed the final episode! Knowing my Grandma, I had a feeling she might! I'm much like BTD- I agree with her spoiler in the above post.

However, after reading Betty's post, and knowing how The Sopranos did end, that seems like an awesome ending! But then it makes me wonder what really might of happened...

....after the screen went black. Didn't the episode end with Meadow running into the restaurant to join her family for dinner, while the camera panned to a few men who supposedly were there to whack Tony? I'm totally going based on what I have heard. I really need to tune in & watch it! Also, did Uncle June really not recognize Janice? Thank God my beloved Paulie Walnuts was spared! I have also heard that there is not a movie in the works.

Spoiler loving minds need to know! :D

I think Tony got whacked. I'm thinking it might have been from his point of view. I mean once he's gone, there's no more show. And that's what they showed us with the ten seconds of black.
That's my theory anyway. The last thing he saw was his daughter coming in the door and someone whacked him. Maybe the guy in the bathroom.

Remember this? So whats up with THIS?

From CNN LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Olivia Wilde, Kal Penn, Peter Jacobson and Anne Dudek have landed recurring roles on Fox's hit medical drama "House."

Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) will apparently have a new group of students to annoy.

The four are expected to play characters who will be brought in after the resignations of House's (Hugh Laurie) underlings Foreman (Omar Epps) and Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) and the firing of Chase (Jesse Spencer).

Wilde will play a young doctor called Thirteen who will work closely with House. She most recently was on NBC's "Black Donnellys" and has had roles on Fox's "The O.C." and "Skin" and in the films "Alpha Dog" and "Turistas."

Penn co-starred in the film "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" and its upcoming sequel and had a role last season on Fox's "24."

Jacobson is on the big screen in "Transformers" and most recently appeared on television in USA Network's miniseries "The Starter Wife."

Dudek most recently appeared in ABC's "Big Day" and had a recurring role on Fox's "Bones"
