I was sad to hear the news that one of my favorite Neo German Expresionist painters has passed away from ALS.

Wow - I still remember the show at Newport Harbor Art Museum, which must have been in the early 80's. His stuff with the other Neo Expressionists blew me away and sold me on the vitality of contemporary art. Sad that he no longer walks among us.
