Saw this on Youtube and thought I would share......WARNING: May be a little upsetting for animal lovers but rest assured no animal is killed(although a few get their buts kicked;))

That was particularly awesome. Though I can't imagine that calf escaped without injuries that will eventually lead to its death.

I agree...but at least on camera he walked away.
Saw it a couple weeks ago. I love when the lion goes flying.

That's the most amazing animal footage I've ever seen. I challenge even the "Planet Earth" people to do so well!

I agree...but at least on camera he walked away.I'm thinking more of the hungry lions, who have to go hunting yet again. They've got babies to feed too.

I never thought of it that way...guess they will have to go out for something else instead; wasn't there a tourist stand accross the lake;)
Betcha if the crocs would have won the tug a war the buffalo wouldn't have tried any kind of rescue:eek:

The whole thing begs the question, what the heck were the buffalo thinking in the first place? At first I figured, with that huge bull, they were going to chase the lions off. But why even get that close if you're just going to scatter the second they make a move?
Especially when they apparently had the cavalry waiting in the wings. Seems to me they could have just waited until their buddies arrived and there wouldn't have been an issue.
Silly buffalo.

Now, there's something you don't see everyday...
Those lions were just protecting that baby buffalo. He was dead tired.
Cool video. :)
(Hey, this video just reminded me, has anyone else noticed the new audio-animatronic croc at the beginning of the Jungle Cruise? "Ginger Snaps" comes out of the water now.)
