Those of you who know me well, know that handbags are something I have more than a few of. BUT... I dont like to spend a bunch of money on them.
So, the fact that I am coveting a $160 handbag................. is wierd

I actually cant pick between prints... I really like the pirate print...

Now, if that reclass were approved and paying next week... I'd be all over it.

I've seen one of these babies in action. The 8-core processor allows for super highspeed video rendering. Like one hour of HD takes only 6 minutes. Right now, one hour of SD takes me over 4 hours, thus making my projects take forever to complete.

From there, I'd soup up the memory and drives myself for much cheaper, just like I did with my laptop, versus paying Apple $300 a piece per SODIMM.

The House on the Rock (http://www.thehouseontherock.com/) is the most twisted tourist attraction I have ever visited. I loved it so much, that that's where I proposed to Heather (in the Carousel Room).

The Heritage of the Sea room features a model of a sea monster ("as long as the Statue of Liberty is tall") battling a giant squid, while a music machine plays a calliope-sounding version of "Octopus' Garden". The walls are lined with over a hundred ships models, most of which are several feet long.

1966 coupe with a bench seat. sweet car. almost bone stock except the rims. /sigh

my best friend since gradeschool had one when we were growing up. as people are known to do, he had a son (two, but its the eldest in this story). his son was surely his fathers child and had an instant love for cars...specifically mustangs like his fathers.

I had this one. at the age of 8, he told me he would buy my car when he turned driving age and asked me how much I wanted. I said "sure" and pulled some number out of my &*%# and watched his eyes bug out at the thought.

ahead 8 years...no mention of that conversation ever arises

I go over for his 16th birthday party. he takes me aside telling me he wanted to talk to me.
grinning like a cheshire cat, he hands me, in cash, the amount I said 8 years before. nice fat stack of $100 bills and says "I want my car"

how could I not sell it to him?

...and yeah, Pearl is loud as *(%$ and fast as 773H

I agree with Kevy Baby, great that you did sell it to him. Probably a dream come true for him.

And just the rims aren't stock? Damn, I also knew a family who had a 'fleet' of Mustangs. Even a 1964 1/2 one. Aren't those rims called 'Centerlines' or something like that? I remember my friend would say 'That's what I'm getting for my car, yep, that's what I'm getting'. I don't think she ever did, though.

Does the boy still have it? And is it still hot?

oh yeah, he's still got it. I attended his HS graduation last friday (wow, so I guess it really was more than 'last year'). he sent me this pic last month sometime

http://members.cox.net/capt_jack/image/mustang2.jpg

he, like most HS gearheads has made his own set of 'mods' to it, but still looks as good as ever. better in some respects. great "kid"

yeah, centerlines and some decent radials is about all I ever did to it other than repair/restore work.

My mother's boyfriend (it is weird calling him that - they live together and having been "dating" for 30 or so years) has sitting in his garage a 56 Vette with removeable hard-top (or did they all have that?). It is all original and has about 25,000 miles on it. He has not even started it in about 25 years. He FINALLY started restoring it a couple of years ago and it is his pride and joy. Can't wait to see the finished product. I wonder what kind of insane offers he will get for it once completed?

Well, I want one of these, in this color (or maybe metallic blue)
http://www.geocities.com/~rudyfan/mini-cooper-1.jpg

failing that a 1936 Packard sedan would be nice, harder to park, more expensive to gas, but a very swanky ride.

And because GD and CP have one, and I have a severe case of tv-envy I want this too (http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=SAMLNT4042H)

LOL RStar, he did the deed.

Well, here in San Diego, I still wear my leather jacket in the summer.

Night concerts, strolling out late....a very good excuse to be out late at night...to make use of your wardrobe!!!

I love the chandelier on the page of the jacket but I don't have anywhere to put it. I need to get back to the Harvest Festival where I saw the old fashioned wall lamps. At the time they didn't suit my room, now they would be perfect.

I hadn't ever really wanted one, but I have one now, and I don't know how I lived without it.

Having replaced all the carpet with laminate during my remodel, I was simply amazed at how much dirt and dust we get on our floor (which makes me shudder thinking of all the crap in the carpet, but that's another story). It only takes a day for it to look bad.

So....I bought a roomba. The robot vacuum. This thing rocks.

We can schedule it to run at the same time every day, or if we're leaving the house we tell it to run for an hour or two. It's smart enough to return to it's charger by itself. If it's running low, it goes back. It adapts to whatever type of floor it's on. It goes under beds. Around everything. It's smart enough, when we have it upstairs, not to fall down the stairs. This thing rocks.

I want more robots.

Something that I actually need, and am trying to figure out how to buy:

Oooooh, yeah. (http://store.apple.com/AppleStore/WebObjects/BizCustom.woa/6054007/wo/8j2dGE3H31gw28ZMdIbDR1vpA7H/1.?p=0)

Thanks to an irresistible offer from a friend, I'm ordering this bad boy tonight. :D

No more 16-hour workdays, and I can edit multiple projects at once! :snap:
