I hate being sick. My wife kept me up until 2 in the morning Sunday night only to wake me up at 4:30 to take her to the airport.
Once home she calls me and asks for me to bring her forgotten purse back to the airport(thank goodness we live close to the terminal). By the time I got home again it was too late for going back to sleep.
On top of all that now I have a cold......and no wife to baby me:(
This week can't end soon enough.

I would whine more, but I've been using the Camping Thread for that.

Sleepy, Sleepy, Sleepy....my poor, poor uneducated husband that is Sleepy.
Wife: I need to be to the airport very early Monday.
Sleepy: Well, I'll be sure to make a nice bed for you on the couch so you don't wake me when you get up.
Wife: I need to take a shower anyway.
Sleepy: I can take your shampoo and towel to the other bathroom before I go to bed.
Wife: How will I get to the airport?
Sleepy: 1-800-Blue Van
(flash forward to Monday at 5:00a.m...phone ringing...ringing)
Sleepy (sleepily): Umm....hello?
Wife: Honey, I forgot my purse. Can you bing it to me?
Sleepy: No. But thanks for the good news. Now I don't need to worry about you running up the credit card. Goodbye and don't bug me again. I'm sleeping.
Husband lessons 101, Sleepy.

^ Jeff, you might just want to reconsider taking advice from a man with pork products embedded within his rectum. I'm just sayin...

Now NA, why would you say such a thing? I consider myself to be more of a marriage counselor.

So Sleepyjeff: has this whine improved with age?
Yes, yes it has. I hung a "Gone Fishing" sign in my store window and am just going to spend all day tomorrow resting.
Thanks for the cheering up guys:)

poor sleepyjeff.
I totally relate. For the past two weeks I would have loved to be able to call in sick to work. But no, I was totally healthy. Now, as I'm starting my 3 weeks off from work, I'm stricken with the flu. Seriously....it sucks.

Bad luck that. Hope you will feel better soon.

The last time I was out of town my husband got sick but that didn't stop him from whining over the phone! As I recall he also called frequently with silly questions of " Honey, where is X? " so it was a lot like being there!

Now this is so very close to what happened to me today that it is more scary than funny:eek:
Long story short my son's nickname is "X" since there are about a bizzilion other Alex's(both boys and girls) in his school. When I went to pick him up today(Wednesdays are half days in our district) he wasn't there. I had to call my wife to see if I was missing something(which I was, I guess he normally goes over to a friends house on Wednesdays for a couple of hours:blush: )
Sometimes I think work is less stressful than staying home sick:(
