Ahoy, €uro!

Whilst perusing the wonderful links at boingboing this morning, I came across this site that contains scans of all of the maps originally found in the original editions of the works of Jules Verne (http://www.phys.uu.nl/%7egdevries/maps/maps.cgi).

Those are cool. I didn't know the French didn't use Greenwich as the Prime Meridian until 1911.

Coincidently I just happen to be in the middle of a Jules Verne Novel right now:

The Mysterious Island.

Just got done reading the part where they named the Island and its' major features.

Actually... quite a few are missing. He wrote 54 novels. (http://jv.gilead.org.il/biblio/voyages.html)
