The funny thing is that I have amazon cookies on my computer, and yet I STILL see 3 to 7 jock strap ads per page.... (and I wasn't the one that ordered them).

Finally we must thank the one kind soul out there who purchased seven jock straps from Amazon.com, using the links on our pages to access their site. As a result, due to the absolutely primeval software Amazon uses (unlike Google, they offer no way to block items), many of you have seen ads touting jockstraps on these pages, which apparently is sparking quite a lot of rather mirthful e-mail.

The exchange of e-mails I've had with Amazon about this little event has been hysterical, if not just plain surreal. If you're a journalist looking for a funny story to run on technology gone amuck, e-mail me. Jockstraps & Disneyland, two things guaranteed to amuse you - how can you miss!
