**SPOILER WARNING*** DEATHLY HALLOWS PLOT POINT DISCUSSED IN THIS POST
(Just in case anyone is searching for posts by Lashbear...)
here is the one that dies, according to the hacker. (http://seclists.org/misc/harrypotterspoilers.html)
I personally don't believe him, but you never know.
Your thoughts ?
I think it's a religious zealot out to flog the horse of "Harry potter is desensitizing our young folk to witchcraft, and I'm going to try to spoil it for them, and save you and your families..."
As if revealing one plot point will stop people from buying or wanting to read the book.

You know what amuses me most about that link... the person is trying to criticize a hugely succesful piece of literature with terrible grammar. I'm thinking a number of the kids who read the books could write better than that person.

That was the main thing that made me doubt the claim- it is written so badly.

It really makes you wonder if someone with that little literacy has the ability to hack a major server in the first place !
Not that it makes it any more believable or not, but much of the grammar and phrasing issues read not like so much like an illiterate person but like someone who isn't a native English speaker.

A very true observation.
Does anyone think that his choice was valid and Hermoine is a logical target, being that she's popular but not the #1 character in the story ?

I'd buy into that line of thinking.

Even accounting for the writer having English as a second language, it's still bad writing.
I'm also really tired of the people talking about how horrible Harry Potter is because it has witches in it. Get over it. It's called FANTASY. Just because real witches exist doesn't mean there's any relation. I don't fly on a broomstick and turn into a cat. Though if the Flue Powder traveling thing were real, it would be cool.

Pratically anyone could die at this point. I think certianly Voldemort has to die or there will be no real ending to the story. Harry could die making that happen but Voldemort's got to go.

Ya know...I'm really sick of that one book with all the witchcraft and talk about satan and people having hallucinations and everyone getting killed and raped and murdered. I think it has a detrimental effect on our kids. What's that book called? Oh wait, the Bible!

Personally, I think that at the end of book 7, Harry will awaken from a dream and we will find out that Professor McGonagall was actually Miss Gulch and that Dumbledore was really Uncle Henry Gale...

Harry and Malfoy better f*ck in this one. All that sexual tension in the first 6 books is killing me!!
If Ron Weasley (or whatever his name is; the really crap actor one) gets killed in some gorily violent way I'll promise to watch and enjoy that movie when it comes out.

If Ron Weasley (or whatever his name is; the really crap actor one)
The red headed one whose two facial expressions are "neutral" and "ewww!" ?
ACTING! ;)
Oh, has he acquired "neutral" I must not have been paying enough attention during the last one.

I don't notice anyone going 'Boo Hoo' over Hermione yet....
Dumbledore should have been saved for the last one, methinks. More emotional reaction.

I don't think any of the big three will die. If Hagrid dies I'm not reading book 8.

I hadn't considered Hagrid... that would have an impact similar to Dumbledore... who of course isn't really dead... but even if he is, harry can still speak to him via his portrait in the Headmasters Study.

I think Hagrid will die. He's an innocent, they always die.

I hope Hagrid does not die, I thought that was coming in Order of the Phoenix and was relieved it was not him. For him I would weep copious tears. :(

I didn't have much of an emotional reaction when Dumbledore "died." I bawled like a baby when Sirius went through the curtain in book 5. 6 just tired to hard to get you to feel something, which left me feeling nothing. Unless book 7 is MUCH better written, I don't see myself reacting to it, either.

How funny, I felt nothing when Sirus fell through the curtain. In book 6, by the time Dubledore went, I was just plain tired of horcruxes and the whole thing and was a little relieved that the book ended.
No clue on how I feel about book 7. Book 4 is still my favorite of them all to read. I think Rowling hit her peak with book 4, but that has not stopped me from gobbling up the remainder of them.
