I remember watching the show... loved it (then again, i also loved the animated inspector gadget series..)
and when i herd a of a movie, i was mixed... The teaser is released, and i don't know what to think. Mainly because it only goes a few seconds before switching to the next video...

yeah, I was a big Get Smart fan back in the day. I'll reserve judgement on this one for now (although I honestly dont hold a lot of hope)

Meh. I've seen very few of the tv shows-turned-movies, and somehow don't expect this to change that trend.

The trailer seems to indicate the right tone for the project.
And I'm not one of Steve Carrell's biggest fans, but I think he's right for the role of Maxwell Smart.
And it looks (sounds) like he isn't trying to do a vocal impersonation of Don Adams which scared me the most.
Still don't have high hopes for it, though.

Not too long, I bet.
But, if given the choice between non-original TV adaptations, and non-original sequels ... I'll take the TV stuff. Believe it or not, it's got a better track record (with me, anyway .... and I haven't liked most of the TV stuff).
After seeing the trailer for UnderDog last week, I'm just satisfied that Get Smart seems to be taking the TV characterizations into consideration.

Meanwhile, the Underdog trailer actually looked interesting to us because it appeared to be its own thing rather than just a remake of something already done. (and I suppose because the dog is really cute, that never hurts a movie)

Pfft, why call it UnderDog if you're making a movie about something else entirely?
No offense, GD, but aren't you a bit young to have ever experienced UnderDog??

And it's a comic character. How much does Adam West's version of Batman have to do with Michael Keaton's? I've got no problem with reinterpretation of source material.

Frankly, I didn't know Underdog was popular enough for syndication. It was a rather minor cartoon.

Urg. I don't know how I feel about someone else in Don Adams' shoephones.

Seriously, when the Underdog trailer started, I was rolling my eyes. By the end of it I was laughing like crazy. Now that's something old, yet new, and will probably be pretty entertaining.
Yeah, cute dogs in costumes, what can I say

The clip looked like a fun romp to me, with the "element of surprise" and the "beaded screen" gags giving me a laugh out loud moment.
I can't wait.
