1,500-pound ball damages vehicles before causing car crash in PA; 3 hurt
MEADVILLE, Pa. - A 1,500-pound wrecking ball broke loose from a crane cable and raced downhill, smashing into several cars and injuring three people before coming to rest in the trunk of a car at an intersection Monday. The whole story (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19689640/).
I could enjoy the story a little more if no one had been injured.

I would pay money to hear a recording of the call to AAA...
"Your car is a wreck?", "No I said my car has a wrecking ball!", "I'm sorry but AAA does not deal with cranes", "It's not a crane! It's........."

Hahahaha!!! I'm with Kevy- I could laugh a little harder if no-one had been hurt. Property damage from something this ridiculous is one thing but it's not so funny when people are actually hurt.

These Simpsons movie promos are getting a little out of hand.

Did you see though that he had 9 soccer balls in the trunk/back seat - they say that they prevented him from having even more serious injuries.

I just know that we are going to see some variation of this story on a future episode of Mythbusters.

Im hoping an ATM or some such caught a bit of video of it as it passed.
I cant help but wonder if it flew by like a car or did a slow meandering 'irresistable force' thing down the street.
erm...but of course the injuries are a bad thing. :)
