View Full Version : Sly, Anti-Gay, Mayor Naugle Says One Thing, Means Another

The mayor of the Florida city of Fort Lauderdale indirectly said to-day that he wished to be voted out of his mayoral position as quickly as the next election. "Even sooner, if possible,” he stated, in so many words.

My Naudle, who is not generally known for saying one thing but meaning another, nevertheless, stated publicly to-day that the city should purchase high-tech, self-cleaning electronic toilets that would “discourage users from engaging in sinful homosexual sex.”

Insiders, agree that what Naudle was really saying was that in this city of an estimated 243,000 gay people, he no longer wished to be in power and instead live out his days in disgrace as a intolerant, narrow-minded bigot. "We believe the Naudle is in grave mental pain and is doing everything he can to lose his position in government without coming right out and saying it" said a associate who wished to remain anonymous.

The clever Naudle went on to slyly state, that he wished to be a pariah in his own town, as he expressed his disapproval of moving the gay-oriented Stonewall Library & Archives to the Broward City Library.

"This would probably be the first public library in America that has hardcore pornography as part of the collection," Naugle said, skillfully infering that he is a world-class moron, has no business being in politics and should be hung on a lamppost like Mussolini and pelted with rotten fruit.

"Though we wish he (Naudle) would come right out and admit to his idiocy, we are happy that he is reaching out in the way he finds best for himself," said the voting populace of Fort Lauderdale. "We will follow his secret wishes and vote for somebody else in the next mayoral elections."

And they cite the Seattle toilets as an example. Perhaps they've not checked out the local media reports of rampant prostitution and drug use in the robo-toilets.

But if they're heterosexual prostitutes and drug users, what's the problem?

Ok, drug use can be accomplished it a short time, but how can prostitution be taking place in any kind of loo ... much less one that opens the door automatically after a few minutes?

BTW, I'm all for public toilets that do an automatic seat cleaning after every, um, use. (Of course, I shun public toilets in the same way I might shun Mayor Naugle.)

Apparently the prostitutes manage just fine. And as for the cleaning- apparently the only cleaning is that the seat retracts into the wall and is allegedly cleaned. The rest of it stays filthy.

I'm not sure I could use a facility for its intended use if robots were watching me, opening the doors, and yanking the seat through a wall.

Best hope you don't have to do a #2. Surprise!

I'm not thrilled about it yanking the seat back into the wall... that sounds a little wierd... what if it gets it too early?
