I have thought of the following:

Lola (Run Lola Run)
Velma or Daphne (from Scooby Doo as part of a twosome)
Kim Possible
Something from Month Python
One of the superheroes from The Incredibles
Something related to an old Twilight Zone episode (for WDW) - ideas welcome on this one

I am still open to suggestions.

Well i have no ideas at the moment. Since every year now hubby and I go to Knott's Halloween Haunt we don't need to dress up and we aren't home for trick or treaters. Never was one for Halloween and costumes.

What with our two week trip in October, I am not holding out hope for Halloween costume energy. Sigh. Everything I still want to do would be so labor intensive...

I think I really wanna dress up for Halloween this year! It's been way too long! Now, I just need to find a party.. ;)

I would like to be..

*Marie Antoinette
*Disney princess
*Little Bo Peep, Little Miss Muffet or Little Red Riding Hood

No more last minute stuff! I don't want to pull out my plaid skirt & uniform from my Catholic schooldays! I spent my life from pre-school to Highschool dressed in a plaid skirt uniform!!

Definitely no more dressing up in my Highschool cheerleading uniform. It was left with my late boyfriend's estate and belongings. I don't think I'd trouble his family for that. :( I think I have my letterman's jacket, but wearing that & only that is NO costume. Just really confusing & sleazy. :p

No clue-

I want to make something.

No. Too much work.

I want to buy something.

No. I've seen it all before and it's BORING and up close the costumes you buy are cheap and cheesy.

Ugh- and around here I am the Queen of Halloween but I have ZERO clue what I want to do!

...what does an Egyptian Demon Bitch dress like?

Apparently we're doing the DL halloween thingy, so we have to look festive. Spousal unit wants to be a jedi, which is plenty easy. I have no idea what to do. Everything I'd want to do requires more luggage space than I'm willing to allot for the purpose. (No farthingale on the plane, thankyouverymuch.)

I could go for thematic and be the judge from Mr. Toad, but I'm a) short, b) female, c) lack sufficient sideburns. I can, however, point and shout "Guilty!"

I'm also considering pirate - either Female, (http://reconstructinghistory.com/index.php?s=&c=22&d=36&e=&f=&g=&w=21&q=1&p=80&r=Y) or Captain Hook variety. (http://reconstructinghistory.com/index.php?s=&c=22&d=36&e=&f=&g=&w=21&q=2&p=172&r=Y)

I'll be making one of my Star Wars costumes do double-duty: I've started on the stormtrooper, and it should be done by then. If not, I'll wear the x-wing pilot. I still take my son trick-or-treating, so I enjoy Halloween thoroughly -- actually, it's ALWAYS been my favorite holiday...any excuse to masquerade is fine by me! :D

Its August....
I'd really like to be thin enough to be something sexy.
Last years was a bust... I worked very hard on an 1800's dress fit it the whole way, only to have it be too small and totally stupid looking at the end of the race.

So, if I am not considerably thinner, I'll skip it. :p

Yeah, I am doing the Halloween thingy, too. I am just not a costume person. I plan to go as a bitch, so I can just be myself!!!

Are you going on Oct 12th?

with my size, I am just afraid to buy anything online, and no one in town carries plus size costumes.

I'm also considering Queen of Hearts, but that again brings up the transportation issue.

They are out there, you just have to look more carefully.
The catch is, because there are so few, they run out early.

I'm really going to have to think about it this year. This year also has some really interesting Halloween options on the horizon, so... Hrmmm

For work I am going as

a Ducks fan. Jeans, hat and a jersey. Comfort city. And maybe a Stanley Cup miniature.

You could wear a suit, some smashed coke-bottle lensed glasses and carry around a small stack of books (that's my favorite episode!)

You could dress like a little girl (unless you wanna rock the Telly Savalas look and I don't think you'd want to go bald) and carry around a Talking Tina type doll.

You could wear an alien costume & make-up and carry around a large book that says "To Serve Man".

You could be a ventriloquist with a scary & demented dummy, but you know, that's just too scary to even type or think about (that episode scared me most.)

You could dress in a fuzzy bear-type suit, while holding a faux plane wing. Or, a toy plane. (That "thing on a wing" kinda looked like he was in a fuzzy bear suit!)

Or, you could just look like your gorgeous self, dressed in a hospital gown, and round up some friends who would be willing to wear scary pig snouts.

I'm trying to remember episodes! I love that show! :)

I still think a group of us should put lights on CrazyLegs' chair (so she can spin around in the lead), attach some battery packs and xmas blinky lights to our clothes, wave multicolored flashlights, put a boom box blasting Baroque Hoedown somewhere in between all of us, and stroll through West Hollywood Halloween Festival as The Gay Street Electrical Parade.

LOLOLOL!! :snap: I love it! Can I be the groovy lion that wears the Hugh Hefner sexy purple robe & medallion, and shakes his fuzzy moneymaker while wildly playing the calliope?

There's a sentence that I thought I'd never type.
