I know that many of you will have your respective gyms, don't live near a 24 Hour Fitness, or possibly no inclination to ever join one, but... I got two vouchers in the mail to give to friends. Basically, you get a membership like mine to 24-hour Fitness, All-Club (Non-sport), at the price I pay, which is $19 a month. It's no initiation fee, no processing fee (which saves $160 just in processing), and I think that's it.

If anyone wants it, I'd be more than glad to drop them in the mail to you. The vouchers apparently expire at the end of August (yay me for not opening up semi-junk mail until the last minute!) so it's gotta be a decision you're willing to make in the now-ish sense of things.

Just PM me your address and I'll drop them off at the post office tomorrow (or maybe tonight, if I get back from work at a decent time).

Since this thread serves no purpose I will take this opportunity to tear the scab off a decade old conflict related to the 24 Fitness that is (or was) on Kapiolani.

Issue the First: They were not, in fact, open 24 hours. That was just lame.
Issue the Second: They failed to stop my automatic payments after I canceled my membership because I was moving from Hawaii back to the mainland. It was very annoying trying to deal with this from a long distance away.

So I once again shake my clenched fist (for unclenched it is just a hand) in the air and look menacingly in their direction.

I don't know when this happened to you, but they did that to a lot of people. I got a letter about it, and there was some retarded compensation options (for something that generally didn't affect me). I didn't like any of the choices and had no use for them, so I didn't take it... But yeah.

I don't know what I'm going to do about things once I move. Luckily, perhaps, my bank seems to have an issue with letting them take EFTs. I pay them quarterly as a result, and fortunately, my quarter ends when I am planning to move, anyway. So I'm hoping that saves me any and all grief.
