James Stewart stamp on sale at Universal Studios CityWalk
13th Stamp in the Legends of Hollywood Series
On August 17th, the U.S. Postal Service will be selling the James Stewart Commemorative stamp and related merchandise on Universal Studios CityWalk for the convenience of stamp collectors and CityWalk guests on Friday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., directly in front of the CityWalk Cinemas.
Besides the James Stewart stamp, which is officially being issued at Universal Studios the same day, there will be collectable envelopes, uncut sheets, ceremony programs, lapel pins and other items. Cash, check and credit card will be accepted for payment.
The official First Day of Issue postmark will also be available at this location and applied to any envelope or card bearing postage at no charge. With the 13th stamp in its Legends of Hollywood series, the U.S. Postal Service honors James Stewart, the American film star whose lanky physique, drawling speech, and naturalistic acting style made the characters he played seem "real".
