Yesterday, the monkey and I had a nice day at both parks.
We did just every ride we wanted to, and even did a few things in Flik's Fun Fair just for kicks.
Pics are up here (http://picasaweb.google.com/CoasterMatt/DisneylandAndDCASeptember52007)

Chris was at DL yesterday. And, both he and GD were at the Angels game. You CAN be incognito in So Cal!

Cool pics, Matt!
So, is there really an off season any more? Is it just the week days from now untill the fall decorations go up, then again week days after Jan 1st? I remember even weekends in the winter (other than the holidays) being very slow. But not any more.....

Well when you work weekends like i do the weekdays especially on Wednesday with the light light crowds makes it wonderful to go. I really now am spoiled and don't really look forward to weekends with the crowds anymore. The "magic" for me was riding Splash Mt at near closing and riding in our own log (got the front seat) so after our ride thru the cast member asks us if we want to ride again...unheard of really i've hardly if i even remember being asked that at Disneyland of all places...so of course i had to say yes...the second ride stopping before the big hill (log jam)lmao luckily it wasn't too cold out and the water felt good. :) Other than losing my bracelet it was a good day.

Found this article (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20837965/) on what they're doing to the Grand Cal. 250 new rooms, including the first west coast Vacation Club units.

So, south would be that secluded grassy area between the parking lot, the wedding lawn and DCA?

We stared at a Google Earth image for a while. The dirt pit that's in Matt's photo from the Sun Wheel was an empty grass field, on the other side of the pool area from Whitewater. Here (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=1313+S+Harbor+Blvd,+Anaheim,+CA+92802&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=39.507908,96.328125&ie=UTF8&ll=33.807017,-117.922024&spn=0.001268,0.00294&t=k&z=19&om=1).

Bummer. I liked that grassy area.
I did, too. But I knew it was a lot of waisted real estate waiting to be developed....
