As a way to get the public more interested in theater, a national group is sponsoring Free Night of Theater 2007 (October 18, but I saw some companies are doing other dates as well.) They're doing this in a number of cities, including LA.

If you follow this link (http://www.freenightoftheater.net/shows/index.cfm), you can see what is offered in your area.

There are a lot of theaters participating, and some shows I know and love, some shows I'd be interesting in exploring. Free tickets go on "sale" on Monday October 8. Anyone in the southland interested in joining me?

Like everything else fun, it's happening while we're out of town.

I also wouldn't mind seeing "Seussical" in San Marcos on 10/26.

Fullerton is too out of H's and my way during the work week, so we'll probably attend something more local to us. But I hope you guys have fun!
