It hasn't started yet, therfore there isn't much to disscuss. ;)
I know. And we just moved yesterday and things aren't quite right with the cable setup but I'm afraid to try and fix things until Tuesday on the off chance I screw things up so much I can't watch NBC.

Has anyone been reading the graphic novels (http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/novels_library.shtml) online? (Missed a few, but there is some good stuff)
Anyone watched the documentaries at The Yamagato Fellowship (http://yamagatofellowship.org/videoEvents.shtml) (Good stuff, especially Hiro related)
Has anyone seen the unaired pilot? (I Haven't)
I am excited about it. I would like to discuss even the excitement and thoughts/predictions.

Too bad I didn't watch Season 1. Now that it's not up against 24 I might watch it but I would be very lost.
If you have DVR, I'd suggest saving it, get the first DVD of Heroes from Netflix ASAP and see if you're intrigued. If so, watch the rest of the season and then catch up. If not, you can delete the shows.

Not Nathan... NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!
Crap, I popped in to ask if anybody knows when they put the episodes up on NBC.com for watching since I had a screening this evening.
I didn't expect the spoiler to be quite so big (planned to just scroll quickly to the bottom of the page.
Stupid me.

I'm sorry. :(
Not you're fault. I came into the thread expecting spoilers in here. I shouldn't have risked it and just started a new thread.
Like I said, stupid me. On the plus side, though, I don't generally find that being spoiled reduces enjoyment for me. So it isn't like it has been completely ruined for me.
But assuming your spoiler is what I assume and it is permanent, then it seems a good choice. He is too powerful a character.
Whoops. Confused brothers. Never mind on that last comment.

Dang you guys!! I still need to watch it. I had to go to school and practice tomorrow's (crazy-assed, polar bear-dancing, wacked-out) presentation. I (gasp!) taped it tonight (along with the love of my life, Chuck), so let's hope it worked out fine... or let's hope they post it online soon!

Did they just keep shooting past the writer's strike? Bleh. At least we have a proper villain. I rather liked the way the season was going, but the quickie wrap-up job wasn't really pleasing at all. Guess I don't get a choice in the matter.
This episode was originally planned as a mid-season cliffhanger but they taped an alternate conclusion in case the strike happened. I don't imagine anybody was particularly pleased by that.
Thinking about the mechanics of Hiro's little stunt is interesting.

That certainly is a chilling way to off someone who can't die.
But I'm thinking he may not be stuck there forever. Molly or anybody with a similar ability may locate him someday. Imagine how angry and crazy he'll be if he gets out!
Overall, this was a better "season finale" than season one's.
I'm wondering how they're going to handle the DVD release. Will Volume 3 be a half season as well, and will Volume 2 and 3 be bundled into one DVD box set?
When Adam runs out of air I see one of three things happening:
1. He just continues to be alive without oxygen. That would be an extrapolation of his power not previously shown. But if so, would he be alive as if he could breathe or alive as someone unable to breath, which is painful.
2. He dies and stays dead until oxygen is available. This raises the question of decay and whether it can happen to him. This would seem the logical result since Claire stayed dead after the car accident until the mechanism of death (the shrapnel in her head) was removed. But in other examples of the power the body has physically rejected the cause of death so that it could come back to life.
3. He dies of asphyxiation. His power returns him to life and he
immediately begins asphyxiating again. Only to return to life and do it again. The pain, repeated, every few minutes in a completely dark claustrophobic environment until someone finds him and releases him. This is the darkest of the three options and would seemingly result in insanity, but one wonders if his power can cure that as well. If so, that would be one uber pissed Adam at the other end.

There is also the matter of starvation/dehydration to consider. Can Adam starve to death?
I imagine the answer would be the same with asphyxiation, just slower. If asphyxiation kills until air is available then eating/drinking is moot. But if the third option then the eventual Promethean repetition would just be that much worse.

Mama Petrelli made it clear to Matt that neither Adam or Peter would really die unless unless he put a bullet through their heads. If you consider Peter and Claire's previous brushes with death...car accident, autopsy, glass in the head...I would assume he'd bounce back once air is re-introduced.
On thing that I never saw hinted at in either of the last two episodes are the potential side effects for using Claire's blood for regeneration. Sylar eats brains for his power, Peter absorbs his by being near other heroes, but why doesn't Nathan or Noah absorb Adam and Claire's powers after receiving their blood?

Have you guys read this week's graphic novel (http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/downloads/Heroes_novel_066.pdf)? It's pretty good and answers our questions about Adam in the coffin.
It turns out he keeps dying, revives, and dies again. Also, someone is out there looking for him.
Cool, they went with what I said was the most gruesome possibility. Also, I would have thought the graphic novels would be covered by the writers strike. I wonder if they're not or if they were done before it started.

Nah, the GN's aren't covered by WGA. I don't know the writer personally, but he used to be a DC assistant Editor back in the 90's. I think Wildstorm (Ack! without me) is putting this all out in book format. Soon I think.
I tried watching Heroes - just didn't like it.

I got Heroes season 1 on DVD for Christmas and finished it last night. Now I need to find a way to watch season 2 from the beginning, but can't find a rerun schedule anywhere.

Also, I would have thought the graphic novels would be covered by the writers strike.
According to what I heard on an episode of The 10th Wonder Podcast (http://www.thetenthwonder.com/), the episode writers are involved in writing the comic that follows their episode while the season is on air. (I could confirm this by checking credits but I'm too lazy.) Those would be affected by the strike. But I'm not sure about the comics that go up during hiatus. But we would have been having a short break right now anyway, regardless of the strike. So the comics we are currently seeing were probably written before the strike and we might stop getting new ones when they run out of backlog.
Scaeagles -
NBC is showing season 2's full episodes on their website. I also highly recommend going through their archive of Heroes comics. I got the hard cover copy of the comics from Volume 1 and I've been rereading and I'm realizing there is a great deal of character/story information in the comics that is not in the episodes.

It's most likely backlog from what they wrote for the break anyway...
But it does create an interesting idea... can they keep putting these out hinting at the next book or the book afterward... or start delaying releases until they get the shows main writers back.

Sure did, 'bout the first 30 or so chapters, and slapped them together in a hardcover. Each cover is a different Isaac Mendez painting. Really slick and well put together.
The 2nd season really was a dud though, high hopes for the 3rd- since they finally clued into that at some point heroes should be fighting, oh, I don't know... VILLAINS!!!!

Many thanks for the info! I watched the first three eps of season 2 last night. I should be completely caught up in by the end of next weekend.
