... A jar containing a small piece of tissue from the body of John Wilkes Booth, President Abraham Lincoln's killer, will be on display when the musical "Assassins" opens in Philadelphia.

The specimens will be on loan to the Arden Theatre from Philadelphia's Mutter Museum, which boasts a large collection of medical oddities ...

Angry Abraham Lincoln declares from Heaven, "I still do not know how Our American Cousin ends!"

Booth's cervical bone (http://www.innominatesociety.com/Articles/Contradictions%20in%20the%20Autopsy%20of%20James%2 0Wilks%20Booth_files/image001.jpg) to attend matinee later that week.

Will Lincoln's hat (http://www.150.si.edu/150trav/remember/r2200a.jpg) be lying in wait for the Booth tissue to show?

I am going to take this opportunity to cash in on the apparent missed opportunity to sing showtunes at the beach last weekend. Only I'm going to sing them about ASSASSINS!

Hey, pal. Feelin' blue?
Don't know what to do?
Hey pal... I mean you.
C'mere and kill a president!

**

How could you do it, Johnny,
Calling it a cause?
You left a legacy
Of butchery
And treason we
Took eagerly,
And thought you'd get applause.

But traitors just get jeers and boos,
Not visits to their graves,
While Lincoln, who got mixed reviews,
Because of you, John, now gets only raves.

**

I am nothing. You are... wind and water and sky... Jodie..
TELL me Jodie how I can earn your LOOOOOVE.
I would drink poison! I would move mountains! I would do anything for you!
What do you want me to do?

So, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I immediately envisioned a sceen from Futurama where his head in a glass jar attends the play, tucked under someones arm.

There are some good anecdotes from this play in Sarah Vowell's Assassination Vacation! (http://www.amazon.com/Assassination-Vacation-Sarah-Vowell/dp/074326004X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/103-1658066-5418200?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191076913&sr=1-2)
