View Full Version : Cocktails- Wednesday Night-somewhere?

Well- after much thought and fried brains the trip is settled for the funeral. I get in Wednesday afternoon and thought an impromptu get-together would be nice.
If my hosts (:snap: who rocketh the waffles- yea verily they do:snap: ) are up to it I would like to gather the elders, put on the cheese fezz hats (ok maybe not) and do some swanking with the LoT crew- get some downtime with good friends and good people before facing the dire task of a funeral with guests who I am sure are not expecting us on Thursday-
So- Wednesday night? DTD maybe? I am open to ideas- time not set since I have not finalized things with T & K yet and don't want to put them out any more than I already am.
Thoughts? Who might be able to attend- would love to see who I can while I am there. Will be grabbing some park time since I have an AP and there is nowhere better to rid yourself of gloom and sadness than Disneyland.
See some of you soon- now I need to try to sleep.....maybe.

The AP Lounge is nice, but I really liked the nice quiet bar outside of Steakhouse 55.
Lost Bar is great too, and they serve awesome nachos. :D

Very very possible that I'll be there - it depends entirely on how much of my report I can get done.

I totally forgot about the lounge outside Steakhouse 55.
Lost Bar is always fun. But the last time I went there was a "bartender" was making drinks by looking at the menu.
What time were y'all thinking?

How about 8'ish? Not trying to answer for Neph, but she'll be there via our transportation, and that's what's best for us. ;)
Plus, that gives people enough time to get off work and not have to worry about getting stuck in traffic, etc.

I had the same expereince, only she had some little book she was looking everything up in. She finally just asked me how I liked my drink made, meaning it wasn't in her book and she had no idea.

Somehow, I forgot (because I was feeling a little better after some hot tea, vitamins, etc) -- I'm in the midst of cold/allergies/something-that's-making-me-feel-like-crap... I still really want to go, but I'm making sure I put that disclaimer out there in case I wake up tomorrow and feel like I got hit with a mac truck.

(For all of you cruising next May, you so need to play, or at least watch, the adult-oriented official game "Magic Quest" one evening at Rockin' Bar D. And definitely bring a camera. ;) )

Season Ticket holder ticketed event viewing for 27 hours at the Ponda.
You may be able to find tickets on eBay if you really want them. It will be a walk through, no touching, no photos with it. Ooh, ahh, get out.

BTD - I've got an idea. Bring the Cup to the meet. It'll hold one hell of a lot of beer and be fun to pass around. ;)

I just got home from round 1 of work and I'm feeling nauseous. That might be because the only thing I've eaten today is a giant apple fritter. I sure as hell hope I'm not getting sick. I'm going to rest and see how I feel in a bit.

So, how swanky is the swank lounge? Do they know how to make/have the ingredients for a Cloister?

It was totally swanky this evening.
Neph had the glowing Dreams martini. The light-up ice cube nearly blinded her while trying to drink. I don't think Disney thought that one out too well. ;)

I'm so sorry I missed it. I felt like crap the entire evening, but today I'm feeling much better. I'm grateful it doesn't seem to be the flu. "Don't try and survive all day on a giant apple fritter" is my new motto. Actually, "Just leave the fritter alone" would be a better one.

I'm glad I didn't go. I am starting to feel better, but still pretty sick. No one deserves to feel as craptastic as I have the last few days, and I'm glad I didn't get a chance to spread the love.
