Hi folks,

I'm looking for a roommate to share the experience of a lifetime next May.

Here's the itinerary: Click Here (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/cruises/detail?name=15NightWestboundPanamaCanaltCruiseDeta ilPage)

I've already got it reserved, and the total cost is $1,546, including the taxes and fees. Airfare, ground transportation, and gratuities will be additional. My stateroom is an extra large inside cabin (approx. 300 sq. ft.), designed to accommodate people who need assistance. So, we don't have to worry about being cramped.

This cruise is already sold out, and highly coveted, so this is a great and rare opportunity to have 15 nights of all-inclusive fun aboard the Disney Magic, and visit awesome ports like Castaway Cay, Aruba, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas, with a transition from the Atlantic to Pacific oceans via the beautiful Panama Canal. (And, quite a few swankers are going as well, so it's sure to be a party!)

The full fare is due by the beginning of February 2008, with a deposit of $500 due immediately. ($500 now, $1,046 due in Feb.)

Please let me know if you're interested, and we can discuss it further.

The only requirement I have is that you are dedicated to going for sure. (Oh, and Ken would probably also like to make sure I'm not shacking up with another straight male. ;) )

I'd go but I plan on taking a different Disney vacation next year with a certain man.

Damn, that's what I get for being a guy - oh well - I'd go otherwise.. :(

Sorry. :( Gotta respect my husband's wishes. It's not that he's not trusting. I think he's just weirded out by someone else possibly seeing me in my undies without him being around.

That's also probably why he said "no" to my idea of working at a strip club in-between shoots. ;)

Or, it could be because he just wants to protect me from the wildfire of rumors that would probably erupt.

However, it could work out if someone wants to trade roommates.

You'd need years of therapy. It's not pretty. ;)

God, I'd love to go. I don't think I could leave the Girl that long, though. Grandma would have her turned into a Mormon by the time I returned.

It can be done in much less time than that. Hell, in 15 days, they'd have her married with 6 kids and a minivan. ;)

Last time they tried converting me (hey, I was living alone in Iowa, it was cold, I was lonely, and they lifted my heavy couch up the stairs, and took out my trash, so I repaid them by letting them come over to talk now and then), they tried to convince me that I was ready for baptism by the third discussion. Needless to say, I declined, and after that, they stalked me for a few weeks, even waiting outside my door, refusing to leave.

I've been told that as a non-Mormon, I am going to hell. It can't be any worse than living with one.*

*Actually, Trudy is fairly cool, except when she gets sanctimonious on me- then we have probs.

I thought Mormon was the one true religion? Or so according to South Park.

Or, has Tom Cruise forsaken the space gods in exchange for some holy roller tighty-whities?

T: at that price, you're bound to find a great roomie.

T: at that price, you're bound to find a great roomie.Oh, I'm sure.

You should have seen how many people were turning green on our August trip when I told them I was booked for this one. Apparently, a TON of people couldn't even get through to DCL, let alone nab reservations. Had I known I needed a replacement back in August, I would have had an entire line of people begging me to take them.

So, finding one probably won't be a problem. I just need to find one soon, otherwise I'm out $500 on an additional deposit until I do find someone.

Gosh, I'd be so tempted if I weren't already committed to DisneyWorlding with that other man next May.

If it's any consolation, we're timing our trip to coincide with your landlubbing Disney World portion of this adventure, so's we can have a day or two of fun there together.

That doesn't get you a roomie ... but it does give you more inspiration to press onward, no?;)

I just like to run things past him before saying yes. :)

ok, but my curiosity is running rampant. And I think the question inspired by this thread is obvious: Why isn't Ken "ok" with going himself? Wha happened?

(PM me if you don't want to post it .... and if you have any concern at all about my rampant curiosity)

I am so glad to see this worked out- I wish I could have taken up the offer but that is too much time in one shot away from home and family.

But I bet he would be happier if he was the one going!Possibly, but he's never acted too upset over not going. Me thinks he might have a bit of cruise burnout. ;)

(Picturing Ken collapsing in exhaustion after a marathon 2-week long D&D session with his buddies)I mentioned that idea to him during our last trip. His face lit up, just thinking of the possibilities.

Then, we mentioned that it would be so cool to organize a gamers' cruise, kinda like a convention-at-sea. With the 24-hour environment, it would totally work. Maybe we'll do that later on, with a fairly cheap line or something. I bet we could easily fill a boat.

^^ With all those days at sea, we should have a little D&D action going.

(That's "Dungeons and Dragons", not "Drugs and Disease") :P

With Ken not going, I'm sure he might object to me bringing along our costumes and toys.

(Oooops. I think I just said too much...) ;)

Do you think I could convince your Mr. Potter that I'm gay or did meeting the family rather muck that one up?

Edited to add: Ahh the billet is already filled. Never mind.
