We don't talk much football on here....
My first thought, while watching the Seahawks - Saints game, is why do the Seahawks SUCK SO BADLY?!?!?! WB, I hold you personally responsible.
After the Patriots annihilated the previously undefeated Cowbiys, I believe could they be the team to finally equal the undefeated 72 Dolphins. Still a lot of games to play, but they are making everyone they play look like a bad college team.
Anyway....bring on The football talk!

Best of luck with Tim Rattay.

I am no Cardinals fan.....in fact, I have a bet with a coworker about who will do better in the NFC West - Seattle or AZ. I've got Seattle. Seemed like a safe bet, particularly now with Rattay (who went to a local HS that the school I coach basketball at plays - we're in the same league) at the reigns. But Seattle sucks so freakin' horribly that I don't even think they'll beat the Rams next week!

Sorry, the Hawks are in Pru's jurisdiction- I'm in Eastern Washington. I only lay claim to them when they win, which is seldom/never. As with the Mariners, being a Seahawks fan is an exercise in frustration.

I only watch the NFL passively. I love football, but find the pro stuff to feel a little manufactured... not nearly as exciting as I once found it. As such, I tend to not really follow a team. Growing up in Michigan didn't exactly foster and pro ball fanaticism for me. It did give me a passion for college ball.
I grew up a Wolverine fan, and while I still like to see them win, for a variety of reasons I've become a fan of the Florida Gators. Gimme the passion and insanity of college ball any day. (And wooo is this season crazayy!)

I am going to take a year off from watching Pro-Football(My favoirite AFC team is the Dolphins and yes, my favoirte NFC team is the Rams:( )
I still watch College Ball though.....GO DUCKS:)
Having been a Seahawks fan since '77, i am used to them sucking. They just cant pull it together. Alexander isn't getting the yards, and Hassleback is just so-so. I was excited for Superbowl XL, just because they made it. My old glory was when they would keep the Raiders out of the playoffs because they had nothing to lose.

This is exactly why I am a Seahawks fan - no matter how bad they were, they would almost always spank the Raiders. Back in the days of the Curt Warner, Kenny Easley, Steve Largent, Jim Zorn....can't really call them glory days, but you know what I mean.

I agree. The Wolverines can't match the Gators' history of NCAA violations. Unless you look at their basketball program.
Frankly, the treasonous state of Florida has rather quietly accumulated too many championships in alll sports in the last ten years for my taste.

Football rocks! I do like College football over Pro Football though. There's more pageantry and the cheerleaders are cooler. No scantly clad women doing dnaces do not count as cheerleaders to me. Sorry.
I will say if there is a team that goes through a regular season undefeated they will not win the Super Bowl. Lately the teams that have the best record get home field advantage in the playoffs have trouble winning their first playoff games.

We are college football fans here... GO DUCKS! Although I was actually sad to beat WB's local team so badly, sorry about that. We have no problems with the Cougars it's the Huskies we abhor. I loved the little Cougar kids this game. They had some of the cutest accesories, my son would have loved it. I have a feeling we'll be driving to a bowl game somewhere this year. I really liked San Diego stadium and it was a fun trip even though we lost ;-(
You know I married my husband because he didn't like sports, now it's college ball and fantasy football leagues anf sometimes basketball too!! Where did I go wrong?!

Actually, according to my spousal-unit I am personally responsible for all Seahawks losses. So, that was me on Sunday.
Such awesome powers I wield.
