View Full Version : They didn't know they'd be graded on this
Now I admit that the fashion side of the awards scene has never been
my cup of tea, but I think that even allowing for that, this is kinda
strange.
So without further adieu, I present to you the LA Times fashion
roundup of the 2007 Nobel Prize winners:

Intelligent people tend to win this prize, and the realm of highly intelligent people is littered with the fashion-impaired.
That's my excuse, anyway.;)
(I loved the Indian dude's look, btw!)

I don't think most of those pictures were all that bad. Ok, the black hat in pic #11 is kind of odd, but it's probably part of the graduation bit. They liked Doris Lessing in the 80s, in a black sack dress, and I think that one should have been given a miss instead of a hit. Boring.
My favorite fashion-evil site is www.gofugyourself.com . They're sarcastic, awful, and the girls that run the site have a huge crush on George Clooney. But they're funny.
Ha! I've actually been to the ceremonies in Stockholm. Trust me, these people will spend a small part of their prize money on new clothes. What they don't buy, they'll borrow (we borrowed fur and faux fur coats).
They'll all clean up quite nicely.

That's the pain of celebrity, I suppose. Being scrutinaized about everything- even your fasion miss-steps.
Why do people like to pick others apart, and why is it so much fun to watch? :D

Someone needs to give them this (http://www.fashion4nerds.com/) link.
