I know it's a little last minute (but at least it's not a school night) - but tomorrow night I'm going to go down to The Baked Potato in Studio City to check out Brian Auger's Oblivion Express.

Auger has been around the music scene for over 40 years and is the king of the Hammond B3 (organ). The current lineup of his band includes his son on drums and his daughter on vocals - and they do indeed rock.

Check out the samples at his home page: brianauger.com. (http://www.brianauger.com/)

Maybe I'll see you there!

I listened to some of the tracks on his site, it's the old Tomorrowland music form the late '70's early '80's! (Tomorrowland in that the only place you could hear it was at the exit of Space Mountain near the bathrooms!)

Do you know if the BP has a dress code? Some jazz clubs do...

Also, is there a start time?

Don't think there's a dress code. The first set starts around 9:30 pm (I'll be there around 8-ish).

well, I'm here! It's on Cahuenga just around the corner from Universal. It's dive-y in a cozy way. I guess I should have known that their specialty is ... baked potato. They have 21 different BP dishes. Anyone else coming?

I might have gone, if I didn't go to a show Thursday night, followed by a 12 hour work day- I've seen a few shows at BP, and it's a pretty fun lil joint.
