I have a question for the experts out there.

Whenever I do get out your way I would love to be able to slick back my hair, slip on my leather jacket, and go and partake in a swanky atmosphere. Are there any Rockabilly/Swing clubs in the OC? I know that that kind of scene does exist out you way but to what extent I don't know. Thanks for any input you can give.

There are venues for swing dancing all over the place. (Lindyhop is our resident swing dancer). Rockabilly, not anything specific that I know of. Does anyone know if Hootenanny still exists?

Did someone say swing?

There are a few swing spots in Orange County but things change a lot. Currently there's Atomic Ballroom near John Wayne Airport one or two nights a week (Fridays for sure) and they have a website with all the details. There's another spot in Orange on Wednesday nights that's fairly new. And of course there's Disneyland on Saturday nights.

I'm not so sure about rockabilly specifically. There's some spillover of that scene at the swing venues.

I'll post some links when I have a chance to sort them out.

Here are some links. These are all dance sites so the emphasis is on good places to dance and they usually have deejays and not live bands. There could be a great band playing at a bar somewhere with no dance floor and it wouldn't be on my radar. No dance floor? What's the point?:D

This place is actually just outside the Orange Curtain.
