Wow. That sounds fantastic. Sounds like a good time to me. Too bad I don't live out your way or I'd attend that in a heartbeat. Sucks to be me sometimes.

I'm sure they still can, but how much- and do we want to watch- is the question.
But even if they were only half as good as they once were, I'd still like to see them live, which I never got to do. I've only seen a clip of their show that was shown on TV and is now on a DVD.

I do not remember the Golden Horseshoe show at all. Which DVD is it on (Disneyland USA?)

Holy crap! That is awesome! But at 75 bucks a person, I don't think it's in our reach.

Oh ... so ... tempting.
If it were happening at the Golden Horseshoe, I'd throw all realworld cares away and plunk down the money for zapp and me.
But something about a faceless mouseadventure hotel ballroom makes me take note of the daunting price tag.

ditto. sounds like a fun show in any sense, but really only if it were at the GH itself would it get my attention

$75 at the GH I probably wouldn't even blink before purchasing. Of course, if it were at the GH, with the limited seating, I somehow doubt it would still be $75. I'll wait for the illicit YouTube cell phone video.

With Ape Pen and WttM sponsoring, I would wonder if an actual DVD wont be available afterwards for purchase.

Wonder no more, it's all over the website for the event. There are also limited edition, signed prints. Somehow, prices are nowhere to be found.
I imagine that Wally and Dana will probably perform, though I doubt that we'll be seeing Betty, or any of the former can-can dancers, kicking up their heels. I will probably go, with the hope that a reasonable facsimile of the show will be presented with a younger cast. Once the lights are down, I won't see a hotel ballroom anymore.

Time to butter-up my dad. He's a Wally Boag fanatic, and he generally won't do stuff like this without me. :D

I know I'm not doing a Disney podcast anymore, but I wonder how much of the money from the event and ensuing DVD release is going to the original performers...
sorry. these grapes are a little sour.

sorry. these grapes are a little sour.Hmm, if this sour grapes episode has to do with Disney, it doesn't look like this is being thrown by Disney itself.

Sorry to be cryptically misleading. My sour grapes have nothing to do with Disney whatsoever.
From very early on, I was bummed out by the profiteering of podcasters who sell CDs and DVDs of material that doesn't belong to them. Unlike the "Extinct Attractions" documentary DVDs, which represent tremendous amounts of research and work, many people sell home-made videos of park attractions and events that require little more than a hand-held camera and a DVD-duplicator.

I'd be curious to know who you think if profiting the 'incorrect' way.
I'd rather stand and support a firends opinion than do buy exactly what he's against.
