Wow! That's a real downer. I ran into Bruce a couple of times, and I got to know his "Nickel Tour" co-author David Mumford, who also left us quite early. These two contributed so much to the public knowledge of and appreciation for Disneyland.

Hmm, the article linked to says nothing more about him but that he authored The Nickel Tour and other books.


Does anyone know what kind of work he did for Imagineering? I've never heard of him, and his passing --- though too late of course --- makes me curious what he accomplished during his lifetime.

Well, off the top of my head

Splash Mountain was Bruce Gordon's "baby"- he had a lot to do with it getting built.

I met him when that was being built, and he did nothing but encourage my park geekiness.
