Unfortunately it is a expected to be a bit of a down year for them.

I'm going camping tomorrow hoping to see them but at the moment the chances of overcast are pretty good.

On my way into work day before yesterday, just as sunrise was happening, with a just glowing sky and a black mountain sillouetted in front. Then - A shooting star! So darn bright I wondered for a split secone what it was. Then instantly, a huge trail behind it, nearly sparkling. The entire thing lasted for only a second or so if that but I was in awe. It was the brightest, longest tailed shooting star I've ever seen.

Then yesterday morning, at around the same time, I caught another one out of my eye and thought - What in the heck? 1 is special - but 2?

Now I'm thinking that this might be why?

Kind of a dud but it was nice to sleep outside for a night.

Psssh. I was out in Palmdale and it was dark dark dark. No light pollution. I saw zip. Stars were purty though...
