Do you even remember what it was like to be 39, WB? :p
Well, it is my birthday and I'm....AT THE OFFICE! On a Sunday. Sigh. We have two major software releases every year and this one just happened to coincide with my birthday weekend.
On top of that, my wife is leaving for three days at 11:00 for a teacher's convention (I won't tell you where it is because then some of you would end up stalking her.....but I guess by typing that I just did tell you where it is).
Thanks for the birthday wishes. You guys all rock (yes, even ISM) and I wish I had more time to spend arguing fighting about discussing important issues of the day.

Well, I could ham it up a bit I guess but, rather, I'll just wish you a most wonderful and swanky birthday, scaeagles! :) I hope you can get out of that office at a reasonable hour and have a little fun. Maybe curl up to "An Inconvenient Truth" and a nice plate of bacon or something.

I think NA should merge her two finest skills- animal care and stalking. She could be a pet detective!
Scaeagles, may I say that I do remember what 39 was like......it's # 40 that's a bit hazy.

That would be "S C A" (as in an abbreviation) then "Eagles". It's the school I coach at and the mascot.

That's less interesting than what I had assumed--the conservative wing of the Society for Creative Anachronism--but far more sensible.

Not too bad for a software release. A few minor things, but nothing insurmountable.
No matter how long I've done this type I've work, I will never cease to be amazed at how things can work in the development environment, and they can work in the testing environment, but as soon as it moves to the production environment, it stops working.

And if you were to do the same move on a business day it would be more problematic then if you did the move on a weekend.

If Ronnie were still alive today, he would be wishing you a happy birthday. He would also be wondering where he placed his pants.
