View Full Version : Firefox issues, and other stuff...

I'm doing this, in part, to ask for some help with Firefox, and in part, to test out SeaMonkey (another Mozilla browser). (And yes, I was totally into the name of the program.)

When I write posts or respond to PMs or just about anything on this board, Firefox been giving me issues where it looks like I am not making any paragraphs. Now, this might not be important to some, but I like it to look like I'm breathing and taking it easy as opposed to writing furiously, running on and on and on... Also, when I quote someone else, it turns their stuff into a bunch of code, with breaks and everything. While I don't mind inserting my own breaks when I remember, it's gotten rather old. I noticed that I don't have this problem with Internet Explorer, but I detest the browser. **shudder**

Also, when I click on "Quick Links" at the top, it no longer goes to the list of things that drops down (such as profile an signature options), but changes the entire bar of options.

It seems to have fixed itself, but for a while, I was also having problems with Gmail. It would only let me use the HTML version. I don't know if that has anything to do with anything, but both problems seemed to start at the same time.

Is anyone else having problems like these?

Also, any experience with SeaMonkey?

Clear your cookies and cache
Make sure FF is updated - they've been pushing updates like crazy the past few weeks.

You can uninstall/reinstall FF if you need you.

I'm not sure about the paragraph stuff but the issue with the Quick Links link changing the links on the bar sounds like maybe javascript has been turned off.

Check Tools > Options > Content and make sure the Enable JavaScript check box is checked.

First your text disappeared, now all this...perhaps you should be checking the carbon monoxide levels in your home rather than the health of Firefox. :p

Hey hey... text was invisible when I was on another computer... in another state. ;) I am going to check on some of the other stuff. I'm afraid to uninstall this. I have far too many bookmarks to lose.... :(

Well that was weird. I cleared my stuff the other day and it did nothing. Today. Voila.

Well... Thanks :)

Uninstalling and re-installing won't lose any of your personal data like bookmarks ;)
