View Full Version : Happy Day of the Ninja

So I learned from NPR this morning that today is the annual Day of the Ninja and was immediately disappointed that I didn't at least dress in black.

We'll rectify that tonight by eating goyza and maybe turning out the lights and creeping around the house in search of Scoundrel.

So, anyone mark this special occasion today?

Info here (http://dayoftheninja.com/index2.html)

I only celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day. You know, because pirates are cooler than ninjas.

I'm picturing €uro and NA in full ninja gear sneaking around the house in the dark looking for the cat and I'm laughing myself silly.

I dressed totally in black. I know, I know- bit of a departure, but I like to shake things up on occasion.

I took NGU's cute little terror with me today pet sitting (along with Thurston) and I spent a good part of the day screaming like a ninja.

Bill catches on quickly!

(Psst, learn the words ham, taco, boobies, sphincter, bacon, package and use them frequently. You probably already know the word "pancake".)

Can Bill be a Pirate....AND a Ninja?? :eek:If we can have Pirate Monkees, I see no reason why there can't eb Pirate Ninjas.

Or would it be Ninja Pirates?

Now I'm confused.

I was enjoying a really lake breakfast one cold and dreary afternoon - a delicious stack of buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon - when the doorbell rang. I dragged my body away from the table and tightened the belt on my robe as I made my way to the door to shoe away whatever unwelcome visitor was out there. As I peered through the windows to catch sight of the intruder my sphincter nearly gave out. "UPS," I whispered exitedly. "It's here."

"I have a package for you," spoke the woman in brown. Instinctively my eyes took a glance at her boobies. I smiled and nodded approvingly at both her words and the vision before me. But there were other things on my mind at the moment that I was more interested in. Could this finally be it? Is my Honey Baked Ham finally here, at my door, in the arms of a beauty? I accepted the package and gingerly shut the door. There was no way I could wait to open it in the kitchen. I had to do it right then and there. Gracefully I placed the box on the floor, drew my leatherman from the robe pocket, and scored the tape. "If only I could savor this moment," I thought as I rushed to open it.

Wait, what's this? The Taco of the Month Club? What the...?

Interesting to note that the Kingdom of Loathing added all that new pirate stuff just in time for ninja day.

Pssst... Try Disney taco boobies (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=xnf&q=disney+taco+boobies&btnG=Search)

(But why anyone would want to search with that particular set of keywords is unimaginable.)

If not for the ninja then Patton Oswalt. Having only seen him on stray reruns of King of Queens I was surprised when I saw one of his comedy specials and was reminded once again how much comics are neutered when they take sitcom jobs.

Speaking of comics, if you get a chance watch Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project (http://www.hbo.com/events/don-rickles/). It is a great documentry/ insight on Don and is directed by John Landis.
