5-Year-Old Kills 400-Pound Bear Boy Is Davy Crockett Descendant.

So, because this kid is a descendant of Davy, they had to go out and kill an innocent Bear.

(Insert sarcasim) Bears are a menace. They are killing machines, bent on the destruction of the human race and -- even worse -- American values. What, then, are we to do to combat this scourge?

Was this done during hunting season?
Did they have a permit?

Anyone who knows me knows how I feel about hunting and killing of innocent animals, but if the bear was killed during hunting season and they will be using the meat and fur then I can't be all that outraged.

Now if you'll excuse me, my Chef's salad (with turkey and ham) is calling my name.

Well, the kid is shown sitting on a bear skin rug (fully clothed of course ;) ), so they may have used the fur (though we don't know if it is the same bear).

I'd have to think they would have had a permit and it was hunting season, otherwise we may not have heard about it.
