I see the times listed after midnight at both parks, so I'm assuming that means they are open to the general public. Is that right? So if a brave (or stupid;) ) (premium) APer wanted to harken the new year there, they wouldn't need a special ticket??

Premium AP has admission (presuming the gates are still open). Deluxe and lower need a block-out day ticket. It's going to be a zoo. I think CoasterMatt goes every year.

Well, he does have that effect on places. :p

Get there early though. They can close admission, even for APs.

I've been going for years now. I'd be very upset if they made this a hard ticket event. I'll be there again this year!

Cool! Thanks!

Seems like it was a hard ticket some years back, and MyFM is hosting a booth and is giving out tickets for DCA, so I wasn't sure. I may consider DCA, but I did DL one year and it was a zoo! Once is enough!;)

NYE @ Disneyland is so much fun :) I highly recommend braving the crowds at least once just to experience the madness.

It's great fun. Like Times Square without the sloppy drunkenness. Or explosives.

But get there early and be prepared to stay all day. And get a hand stamp if you want any chance of re-entry.

We did NYE at the park one year. I concur that it is something fun to do. Not your typical night at the park.

We were on the live East Coast feed for Dick Clark's Rockin NYE. But the only way you could tell it was is was if you could identify our 3-pixel heads as the camera panned around the crowd.

Well when New Years Eve falls on a weekend the place is even more packed. I think it was last year if i recall they did close the gates around 1pmish i think we had been there since opening then took a break around 10am and went back in around 12:45pm i think and then stayed the remaining day and evening. SO looking forward to lines to nowhere and insane crowds it's more fun than Times Square. What better place to ring in the new year.

I can supply sloppy drunkenness and explosives, if required.

I had fun the one time we did NYE at DL. We had a great spot in front of the castle.

I think it was last year if i recall they did close the gates around 1pmish...I was just talking to a coworker who went last year, and she said the same thing. At about 2pm they were cautioned that if they left DL they would not be let back in. They wanted to go to DCA for the music going on there but they couldn't leave.

So for one enchanted evening, DL becomes Hotel California.
