I just took my lunch break at a crappy place near my office - Burger King on one side, Starbucks on the other, "speed-mart" in the middle.
As I was finishing my chicken sandwich, I noticed this standee in the middle of the store:

(sorry for the bad photo, but I used my cameraphone and the thing was backlit like crazy)
Anyway, Star Wars lottery tickets? There's even a sign reminding us to "collect all 12". Jeez.
Plus, what does "The Circle Is Now Complete" mean? Does ROTJ somehow flow into TPM in some weird Pink Floyd:The Wall way?
Your thoughts, please.
Wow na lang! I can't wait to be lured into the cinema, a third time, to see a crappy film!

Kinda awkwardly applied to the completion of this crapogy, err, trilogy, but I kinda see where they were going, what with completing the back story that leads up to that line.
But yeah, lottery tickets. Pretty bad. But not as bad as the "Pull My Finger" Yoda shirt we saw at Star Trader. I'm not kidding. Yoda, hand extended, "Pull My Finger."

I found a great shirt in Downtown L.A. Mexican politics mostly. Some Che stuff. Some Zapatistas stuff. And an R2D2 shirt I bought for a friedn that just had an outline of the robot and the word "ARTURITO" written on it. Cracked me up, that shirt.

ARTURITO, now that's funny. But Yoda saying "Pull my finger"??? I want Lucas' head on a pike. Lotto tickets just don't make sense either....does the display have a disclaimer saying you can't win by using the the Force?

That Yoda shirt...saddened me. But few mis-steps in marketing on the part of LucasIndustries can ever top the sick (or inspired) wonder that was the Jar Jar Tongue Sucker:

Oy...I know. I realized after I posted that I wasn't clear. I didn't see someone wearing that shirt in Star Trader. It was for sale in Star Trader.
