I've been intrigued with The Lucent Dossier Vaudeville Circque (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=81244765&MyToken=6c0bfcc3-d1d5-473b-a31f-ac0f077cfa25) since seeing them at Coachella the past two years - they certainly tap into my Wiemar Cabaret sensibilities and this event likewise intrigues me even if I stand being the creepy old guy:

Event Info:
On February 16th, The Do LaB warmly invites you to join us in creating our greatest event yet, the legendary "visionary love fest":
Lucent L'amour.
For one special night in downtown Los Angeles we will transform a raw, 20,000 square ft. warehouse into a wonderland of sensual beats and amorous revelry. With 2 huge indoor rooms and 1 large outdoor patio you can expect a majestic playground for the senses that only The Do LaB can provide!

A limited amount of $25 pre-sale tickets are available for purchase online. After that tickets will be sold for $35.
Doors open at 9PM and the shenanigans will carry on until 4 AM. Come early to catch the whole show!
There will be organic food and snacks available in the outdoor patio by Green Truck (http://www.greentruckonthego.com/).
Full bar. Cash only. This event is ages 21 and over. You must have valid ID.
Driving is more fun with friends so Carpool! Carpool! Carpool!
Parking is located near the location. The address and directions will be announced closer to the event.
Don't forget to dress fabulous... and GO BIG!

Is this a rave?

There are certaily "rave" elements - Djs, late night/early morning hours, etc.

But Lucent Dossier are sort of performance artists of a cirque/burlesque genre. The Do Lab, creates environemnts, if you click on the link you'll find a number of participants of various artistic backgrounds - I'd say this is more an "event" - a dance party w show(s) and some interactive festival-like elements.

Or so it seems to me, never been to this before - but I recognize participants from Coachella and have a strong affinity towards then.

Its a very good possibility!
