I have always liked her work. It is peculiar, junky, beautiful, hideous, carnivalesque and taxidermy influenced.
Now I see that she is also incredibly hot. Bitch. (http://www.boingboing.net/2008/01/09/creepy-creature-scul.html)
When I was a young lass, I wanted to grow up to be someone intelligent, stylish, pretty and talented. Someone who would make really cool works of art that were part horrific part beautiful. Somewhere along the way, Liz McGrath stole my dreams for herself. Curses!
Her nifty site. (http://www.elizabethmcgrath.com/index_flash.html)

No animals were harmed in the making of this work. (Not that I'd complain if they were, that's how much I dig her stuff. Heh.)
And I just now realized I missed a show of her new work in L.A. Closed on January 5th. Fie, fie, fie!
