I've been watching "Pete Hammond, Maxim" quoted again and again on promotional material for some pretty lame-duck movies, so I'm glad to see EFilmCritic take him down. But I guess I didn't realize quite so many others had their hand in "blurb"-writing within their reviews. A stunning, edge-your-seat comparison of verbiage in reviews is here (http://www.efilmcritic.com/feature.php?feature=2346).
Most fun in that article, though, were an array of themed collections of review quotes from the year.
From their "Dumbest Quotes of the Year" collection:
11. Vince Vaughn for the whole family. (Fred Claus) – Lynn Barker, Teen Hollywood
From their "Top Ten Quotes That Are Just This Side of Dirty" list:
3. Pack your spandex, stuff your crotch and press on your temporary tattoos, we’re going to Finland! (Air Guitar Nation) – High Times
