I don't think that's allowed GD.

I agree, except I think that if Dallas beats the Giants, they go on to beat Green Bay at home.
Super Bowl: New England 56 (Bellichick wants more points than SF got against Denver), Dallas 19

I don't think that's allowed GD.Fine, I'll just change it to NY and then if T.O. plays, use my admin privileges to edit it. Would that be better?
Wow, people watch football above the college level? ;)Wow, people watch amateurs playing football badly at the college level?

Hey, Reggie Bush was no amateur.

I was going to respond...then I realized you're probably referring to the $100K

Yeah, they will, but I have to cheer for the sentimental favorite of Favre. Go Green Bay!

Now that's how they should play football in January.

That was certainly an eventful first half. 2nd half's been pretty boring.

I knew the second it started snowing Seattle would screw it up. They can't do **** in the snow. The whole city shuts down when they get one inch of the stuff.

In fairness to the players, I think Holmgren has been a major downer lately. Maybe it's all media hype (in which case - does the local media have some sort of ties to Wisconsin I'm not aware of.) In the last week, all I've heard is about how he wants to retire ASAP and open a bookstore. What, he couldn't hold off on the "I've lost the drive" speech until the season was ACTUALLY over? If it's had my brain pondering his motives this week - and I try to avoid football news whenever possible - I just wonder what it did to the team.
Oh, and it doesn't take an inch around here. We just need to smell it in the air and panic sets in.

I knew Green Bay would win. I didn't see any football today as I had a game of my own. Seattle has always sucked in the cold, and Green Bay wins at Green Bay in the playoffs.

They need to bring the Hawks back to Spokane for spring training, only make it happen in early February. We'd whip their asses into shape- they'd be able to play at the North Pole by the time they were finished.

And get a motivated coach.

Running backs were definitely the story of the day yesterday.
And me thinks perhaps Jacksonville spent too much of their defensive effort covering Moss. Sure, you shut him down, but...

Two home team lost today? Unheard of in the playoffs (well, almost - I think the home team wins around 75% of the time).
Even though I despise Eli Manning, I'm glad the Giants won - it gives Green Bay the home field next weekend, where it will be tough to come in and win. I want to see Green Bay go. How can you not love Favre?

Should be good football next week. The predicted high for Green Bay is 4. In Foxboro, it's 15.
O'course, I remember the old Viking games at Metropolitan Stadium back when Bud Grant wouldn't allow heaters on the sidelines. Now, that was football.

Indeed. I suppose I wouldn't say this to any 300 lb lineman's face, but that's when football was played by men.

Humm, I did not get my picks in on time (I would have been 2 and 2)
Looks like GD is off to the early lead with 4 for 4.

I don't know - asterisk by GD's 4 for 4. He was rather ambiguous on the NY - Dallas game.

Where's that edit button....
Nope, I said if Owens played I was picking Dallas, so that's a loss. Got the SD call right, though, so there!

Not quite... What you really said was:
Fine, I'll just change it to NY
So sorry bucko but no can do. Your own words were quite clear. The fact that you picked them for the wrong reasons is immaterial. You are at 4 for 4. Deal with it.

Well fine, if you're going to be hard-nosed about it, geez.
(heh, forgot about that part of my follow up post).
As much as he might have liked to end his losing streak in Dallas, Favre's gotta be loving the results yesterday.
And I'd just like to take a moment to gloat for a moment over my SD pick. Rivers looked damn good, even if he does still throw like a retard.
Good games to watch all around this week.

I can't stand Rivers. His mouth needs to be reigned in by some coach. On a Monday night game he was talking trash all the way across the field to the other team, and vs. Indy he was mixing it up with the fans.

Picking San Diego was illogical. Other than barely beat the Colts on Manning's worst day, all they had done was beat up lame AFC West teams.

Perhaps, but they HAD beat Indy in the regular season and I've anecdotally observed that that's a pretty good post-season indicator of an upset (haven't done any research into the reality of that).
I also had a feeling that Manning would be relying too much on a rusty Harrison.

I'm just glad that the Colts and Chargers beat each other up fairly badly, so the next round will be that much more silly :)
(I hate the Chargers and the Colts - Rivers is a jackass; screaming at the Colts fans, no class whatsoever)

So, looks like I have this one wrapped up. My my tally:
scaeagles: 3 (GB, NE, NE)
SacTown: 2 (GB, NE)
Me: 5 (GB, NE, NY, SD, NE)
Heck, even if you toss out my nebulous NY/Dallas pick, I win.
It feels good to be right.
Although I'm tied with Strangler if we're including his "I agree".
