..can help an animal in need. Gary sent this to me and it seems like a good cause for animals and shelters around the country. All it takes is a click of the mouse to help them out:

I just thought I'd share this with everyone.

I was a little suspicious (sorry; it's in my nature) and this is legit (http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/charity/animalrescue.asp). However, I did read this (emphasis mine):
Sponsors become involved with this site (and others like it) as a form of advertising and public relations and thus are willing to pay for their messages to be viewed by consumers. They pay CharityUSA.com, the parent entity of the site, on a per-click basis; CharityUSA.com directs a percentage of the total ad revenue collected towards animals shelters and sanctuaries and keeps the remaining funds. (The Animal Rescue Site is not a non-profit entity, so it shouldn't be confused with a charity even though it does direct a significant portion of its revenues to those in need. It exists to make a profit, and that it's still around proves it's succeeding at it.)I am not condemning them for this and it appears that ultimately they are doing the right thing. I just know some people might have an issue with this.
And yes, I went and clicked. Weee

I clicked, too. Thanks, Kevy, for your investigative reporting.
I'm just happy that my (troublemaking yet super cute in a rub-my-belly kind of way) Markus didn't get ditched after being in shelters for over a year. As tired as he can make me, I couldn't imagine life without him.
Speaking of animal shelters and since you're in Utah now. If come warm weather you're in the mood for a weekend road trip I recommend touring Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (http://www.bestfriends.org/) in Kanab. Very nice place and it was a surprisingly good random stop for us.
Plus, the canyon has some movie/Disney history with many old westerns (including Disney's One Little Indian) having been filmed on their property.

Interesting, I'll have to check it out.
BTD may or may not know this, but Kanab was the destination on The Stitch Up Brittany Tour 2002 that took place during our trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon... Good times...
I'm hoping to make it down there again this summer.
