The greatest sporting event known to man kind is almost upon us.

Did Illinois get a wake up call after losing to Ohio State? Does it help them having the undefeated monkey off their back?

Does Roy Williams win it all, bringing back the glory to UNC? They sure looked good against Duke the other day.

Will the Pac 10 have anyone make it past the round of 16?

Who are the sleepers?

Who will be upset early?

Good Lord, it's tourney time!!!! Boo-ya!!!!

Win $10,00 from ESPN.com (http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/frontpage)

You have to register but it's free. The cool thing is that they track your results and show what percentile your handicapping skills rate. It's a lot of fun.

I think I'll be stubborn/stupid and pick Oklahoma St. to win it all like I did last year, then again, maybe I won't.

As for sleepers, keep your eye on Texas Tech and Pacific.

And stop dissing the Pac-10, skankeagles, Arizona might just crash the Final Four.

That would be "swankeagles" to you, Sac.

Sac, I would love the Pac 10 to perform better than it does. I'm a huge Pac 10 fan, but I'm also a realist. It is very weak this year. Stanford, USC, and UCLA all pretty much suck. That goes along with the PAC 10 teams that always suck, being Wash St, Oregon (well, they had some minor success recently) and Oregon St, Cal, and ASU.

So you have AZ and Washington. I don't think in the Pac 10 they play a tough enough schedule night in and night out to compete with the ACC or even the Big 12.

I don't think either gets past the sweet 16.

When Phil Mickelson or Tiger Woods has to run the length of a par three and sink a putt in four seconds to win, let me know. :p

Bwahahaha! Good one, Leo!!!

I'm very extremely totally ready for March Madness! My biggest regret is that I didn't go to the Big Sky tourney this week here in Portland. We just had too much going on, and I didn't go. Montana and Montana State played their rivalry game to an empty coliseum. Bah.

I watched the Duke/UNC game last weekend. I was pacing.......kept rooting for Duke (even though my first loyalty is to UNC) because it's SO rare for either of those two teams to lose at home. It would be such an upset. Alas, UNC pulled it off in the last minute. Good game!

Do you think Mickelson could even run the length of a par three? Not without hitting himself on the chin with his man-boobs, I'm sure.

As an NAU alumni, I am shocked that you didn't go. Of course, when I went to NAU, the team sucked so badly that you could walk into the Skydome (their home court) 3 minutes before tip and sit courtside.

One of my favorite memories of recent tournaments is about 5 years ago when Ben Howland was the coach of NAU (he has since had a stint at Pitt, where he reraised them to national prominence, and is now in his second year at UCLA) and they were a 15 seed and only lost by one to 2 seed St Johns. Almost got it. Late turnover killed them. Go Lumberjacks!

I'm still bummed that Illinois lost to Ohio State.....

My gut feeling is that UNC is going to win it all, though personally I'd love to see either Illinois or Boston College win.

I definitely think Pacific will be interesting to watch. They've kicked ass all season, and hardly gotten noticed.

And man....that UNC/Duke game was awesome!

Some shake ups in the number one seeds?

UNC loses to GT today.
Wake Forest lost to NC State earlier.

So.....who gets the number ones? I think if you don't make it to your conference tourney final you don't deserve a number one seed.

Tough calls....Illinois for sure. Duke if the beat NC State today. Not sure who else I'd give them to.

Wow....I'm really surprised that Washington got a number one spot.....I printed out the bracket then had to do a double take!

Besides Washington getting a #1 seed (the worst #1 seed, IMHO, since Purdue in....was it 1997? They didn't make it past the second round), I was really shocked at Indiana not getting an at large bid. Granted there are always schools that are miffed, but this seems pretty justified.
