Departing from a long and storied (2-year) history of annual St. Paddy's Day concerts at the Galaxy in Costa Mesa on March 17th itself, this year the Poxy Boggards are performing the Saturday previous (March 15th) at 8pm, at the El Rey theater in Los Angeles.
The self-styled "Drinking group with a singing problem" is a perfect St. Patrick's Day type event, as they sing Renaissance-style bawdy drinking songs, as do their opening act, the Merry Wives of Windsor. So if you'd like to go Aboard The Good Ship Venus with me, let's make a night of it!
