What a moron....from his recently unsealed deposition (http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2008/0229082bonds1.html)

While the entire Bonds transcript is worth a read, we particularly enjoyed his answer to a question posed by one juror about Greg Anderson, the athlete's beleaguered friend and trainer. "With all the money you make, have you ever thought of maybe building him a mansion or something?" Bonds replied, "One, I'm black. And I'm keeping my money. And there's not too many rich black people in this world. And I'm keeping my money. There's more wealthy Asian people and Caucasian and white. There ain't that many rich black people. And I ain't giving my money up. That's why."

You know what I don't get? Why there are congressional hearings on this steroid stuff at all. Is it worth the time? I don't think so, but I'm not a baseball fan.

This should have been handled strictly my MLB.

Oh, and Barry Bonds is an ass.

The hook by which Congress gets to stick its nose into MLB and NFL business whenever it wants is the anti-trust exemption. Without it, those leagues as we know them come to an end, so all it takes is a bunch of Congressmen saying "well, we'd really like your cooperation on this or it might force us to ask why we continue allowing you that examption."

This should have been done long ago. Just like MLB, cycling has been a target for years. This was long overdue.

If anything they should have gone after football all the way down too the college level. It's too late though.

After hearing Barry Bonds bitch and complain about not getting money for extra innings, I lost all respect for him as a person and athlete.
