The tickets for the interview are all gone, though there is usually a standby line. I got in to the Neal Gabler one that way at last years FoB.

One could always wait in the autograph area while the interview is going on.

Question -- are there people there that are gonna be selling books, or is it all book discussions? ugh I should have read about tickets and bought em a long time ago :-\

The interview takes place inside on of the "halls" at the campus. Typcially it's her talking about the book etc. Then afterwords, outside at a specific signing area (Table, line) the author signs thier books which are normally available right there. That's how it was when I saw/ met Neal Gabler.
Tickets for the interview part are gone but there is a standby line and sometimes people return the tickets for others to use.

I am saving myself some money this year by avoiding this like the plague, sad as that makes me. Have fun all who attend.

You can see Julie Andrews for FREE with no tickets, but she'll just be reading from a kids book from the "Target Kids Stage". I'd see her read the shopping list, so I think this'd be fun.... even tho it isn't the interview.
There MAY be tickets tho for the interview at 9am on sale, that they hold till the last minute. And then there's the standby line, but we'd miss out on the entire day for that one thing.

The Target Kids Stage last year was a nightmare. They were giving out tickets to get their books signed by Julie Andrews, but it was poorly managed. People who weren't in the formal line were walking up to the Target folks, getting the tickets and getting into a new line for the ticket holders. The Target people played dumb and ran out of there ASAP before they was a riot in the line.
