I printed out one of my personal messages, only to find a hidden message at the top that does not show up on the screen.

Cute guys! Yes, you do! ;)

Cute guys! Yes, you do! ;)I thought everyone knew about that by now as it has been discussed several times in the post (most recently I believe in the third anniversary thread (http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/showthread.php?t=7292).

The hidden text was done by FEJ, on his own whim. I have no idea why he felt the need to post those three names, as there were many others who provided as much input and ingenuity into the creation of the LoT.

Perhaps the text refers not to the creation of LoT but to something of a more personal and manly nature.

It must be a manly think because I got left out. Either that of I just don't even come close to ruling.

OR, I actually rule and the other three are under some delusion. ;)

Kind of reminded me of the stuff my tweener nephew and his friends write on their online journal front pages. Boys really never do grow up, do they?;)

I found it amuzing, if not a little surprizing. :D

I wondered if it had been mentioned before, I hadn't seen any mention of it.

Sorry for repeating.

Oh, and everyone involved in LoT's creation- you all rule! But then I'm repeating again as there is another thread on that subject as well! :snap:

Sorry for repeating. And sorry for sounding snarky in my post - I did not intend to be so. I was rushed and tried to stick to 'just the facts.'

Not everyone can catch every post!

No, you didn't sound snarky.

I had thought about doing a search, but was too lazy. I was appoligizing for my laziness. ;)

the reason I chose only us three is that the other two are whom I conferred with at the time when we were doing design adjustments early on.

I only put those who were privy to the Easter egg at the time of creation.

Meh, I still think you should stick with my explanation.

ha ha

While not as exciting I figured I better chime in so people didn't think it was something personal to exclude anyone out of maliciousness. It was just fun tinkering with the HTML a couple years ago. €uro and GD were privy to it adit happened.
To be honest, I forgot it was there. If CP still feels slighted or excluded (I had no idea she took that much offense to it) it is easy enough to remove.

I was fine with it because I thought people wouldn't find it. But people keep tripping over it...and then it's brought up over and over. It's just incomplete, which means it requires explanation every time. At work, I'm constantly filling holes in procedure to avoid confusion in the future. I'm a born nitpicker, fact checker, verifier. So when people ask, I'm running up to fill them in.

I'm just glad Kevy is here to endlessly quote me :)

It is complete. It is what it is/was. Nothing more than a small and innocent statement made in jest. It had nothing to do with the logo (which is great, BTW) nor with excluding anyone who worked hard on creating LoT.

CP, Obviously it irks you, and even though you say it doesn't. As stated before it was never meant to be a slight at you or others. The reason I directed it at you is you were the only one who still seemed offended.

That said, The statement that is hidden seemed better than "GD, €, & FEJ know HTML and know the old school way to skew search engines. This is how FEJ is showing € how it works, and decided to leave it as a joke."

Ok, it's "complete", in that YOU understand it. No one else does. I know it's "a small and innocent statement made in jest". I just don't like that we have to explain it over and over. Is that so hard to understand?

Um, check your calendar, friend.

That wasn't the last one, it was the one before last.

Last April we had the timid, politically correct, reactionary NOTHING. But I hardly think that needs to be the permanent fool's day policy.

Well, I thought it was cool. I vote to leave it. I found an easter egg, and there was a message. :D

It doesn't even matter what the message was, and I had no idea why it said what it did (including what work they have done or not). It could have said "I love Vegimite" and I would have found it just as interesting.

And who did come up with that awsome logo, btw? :snap:

And I came up with the color scheme too.

And I did the majority of the programming - the rest of those hacks just rode my coattails.

And I invented the interwebs.
