Oooh, something of a looker in his day, wasn't he?

Oooh, something of a looker in his day, wasn't he?

Probably better through kaleidescope eyes...

I will have to suck on a (normal) sugarcube today in his honor.

My two experiences with acid were among the most false I've ever had and were not, taken as a whole, at all enjoyable. But more power to all the people who did like it; enjoy a memorial trip at your earliest opportunity.

I did not realize that April 19th was a magical day for LSD. As is it also our wedding anniversary, I am often in wonder of the special things that have happened on that date:

Bicycle Day - 1943 (LSD)
Charles Manson sentenced - 1971
End of the Branch-Davidian siege, David Koresh commits suicide - 1993
Rodney King gets a bucket load of money - 1994
Oklahoma City Bombing - 1995 I know there are other things, but I cannot recall them at the moment

This (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_19) might help.

Strange how close his death was to the aniversary of his discovery.

Yes, I find that the kind of life coincidence that his discovery often illuminated.

It was always one of the fixtures of LSD (in my wide-ranging experience) that the "coincidences" would pile up to the point where you* could not escape the conclusion that many coincidences were anything but.

* the universal "you" does not include Alex.
