Hello everyone!
My birthday is on Sunday, and my mom's is on Thursday, so we are taking off work on Wed. (the 7th) and going to Disneyland for the day. But I'd like to make this trip extra special for her birthday. I'm sure the plans are for breakfast at Riverbelle, our fave. I just got slammed with about three grand in extra expenses this month so I doubt I can swing a super nice dinner, but I'll see what I can do.
Other than that, I've thought about the extra touches, like the birthday buttons at City Hall first off. But I've thought about the possabilities of doing a few things I've always wanted to, like piloting the Mark twain. I hear that if you ask nicely the CM may let you up there, and I think she'd get a kick out of it.
Same with the Lilly Belle. I know that one is harder to get into, but I can try.
Her favorite ride is the Jungle Cruise. I heard they have these maps they usually give to kids, but it would be special to get her one and go on the cruise.
My mom first went to Disnyland in 1956, the year after it opened. She took me there for the first time when I was one year old in 1960, and took me there once a year as I grew up. Then when I was 17 and just began dating my wife I took her every few months. I took my kids so often they got tired of going with me. Now they are grown and moved out, and going there with their boyfriend/girlfriend. So, Disneyland has a special place in our hearts, and I would love to make this trip extra memorable!
We will be at both parks, and possibly DtD as well.
It would really make the day special to get a visit from the dream team but I'm more likely to win the lottery. ;)
Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help!
~Bob
