My, my, my... This looks tempting.
Fellowship of the Rings with live symphony orchestra (http://www.wolftrap.org/Home/Find_Performances_and_Events/Performance/08Filene/0521show08.aspx).

Yes, when?
Um, more important, where? (Why do I get the sinking feeling the "Filene Center" is on some other coast, and wil make me bitter?)
I experienced the Fellowship score at the Hollywood Bowl and it was wonderful.
Two years later, though Howard Shore did not show up to conduct again, I experienced a symphony of all three movies at the same venue. It was beyond awesome.
It was a great show, and was the coda I really needed on the film trilogy since the last film was such a wretched disappointment.
It was just million piece orchestra and zillion member choir, though. No movie. So this sounds fun. Fellowship is the best score of the three films, as well as the best film.

It's in Virginia. Just outside of DC. However it does say "The world premier" so perhaps it's a travelling show...
