...and you enjoyeded it. I hope.

Have you guys discovered mixwit.com yet? It's very cool - you can pull from music-share search engines and assemble a "tape" that's saved to the web (and can be embedded on your blogs, etc.)

I'll show you mine (http://www.mixwit.com/widgets/2abf95e38a3ee0ba7fe79b5f5cc5b514) if you show me yours (http://www.mixwit.com/)...

Eh, not for me. My mix CDs are really mixed. There are rarely just assemblies of stuff ... and when they are, they are stuff that would not be easily available over the net.

Nice gizmo though. Too bad.

A tiny bit disappointed with the "legal" music choices... but I think I'll give it a go this evening...

Excellent ones so far, btw.

What I love about it is that it contains a bunch of songs that I really, really like but would never remember to buy for myself. I love Concrete Blonde. Never bought an album. I LOVE the Lou Reed cover of Magic Moment, and once owned the Lost Highway soundtrack but lost it years ago...

So, I say again: awesome.

Super cool gizmo find, H. In those moments when I fill gripped with a desire to make a quick and impromptu mix tape with songs that I really enjoy but don't have on hand, I will visit this site and think of you. :)

 I made one, but while trying to get the image positioned right, I apparently clicked something weird and it blew it all away.

Hrmm, I'll have to check it out.

For a while I have used Project Playlist, but it's not so much mixtape as it is playlist. Now, I have made playlists for people, which is, IMO, a form of the mixtape.

I shall see...

Is it possible to see what tracks are on the mix tape? I try to not play audio while here at work.

I'll have to see what's available. I have some obscure favorites and a love of old punk rock and glam.

here's one from me (http://www.mixwit.com/widgets/976966b29366770970ae7ba6f140d62b). It's really two separate groups of 5 songs.

I'll make it interesting - I will make a cool CD mix for the first person who can correctly identify the missing artists and title...

I'm listening to LSPE's right now, and I'm enjoying it so much I'm putting off making my own :) Can't wait to hear everyone's!

What is this Wayne's World you speak of? I have no recollection of this when I was in Jr. High and listening to Sweet.

SMcS,
I was trying to add #41 to my mixtape, but the version they have doesn't play very well!
lol
So, I settled for Crash into Me instead.

It's just this strange affliction I have that anytime I hear Dave Matthews I must hear 41.

Just put me on that list you've got going.

Though I must still be allowed to see LSPE on the side. She has me miffed by presenting that alleged Ben Folds tune that featured his voice not even once.

Pfft

But I'm willing to give her another chance.
