By popular demand I have taken the initiative to start this thread. There are several of us on eljay (LiveJournal) and this is the place to make sure everyone who wants to be connected can be.

Since signing up for Live Journal yesterday (just so I could see this pix of Lashie), I have received three invitations to join MySpace (from women who apparently saw me somewhere). It was such a warm personal message that was addressed to about 30 people with very similar email addresses.

Hey, I admitted it needs an update!
*looks around sheepishly*

I am glad you stopped by anyway, Lash. I have some entries from another journal I can add to catch it up, sorta. It still won't be completely current. My LJ does have photographic enhancements, helping make up for the narrative, which is lacking flair and dramatic style. The photos make my life look a lot more romantic, fun, and exciting than it actually is.

Why, thank you! That's very kind of you to say. Of course, I would think they are cute, but it's always nice to hear that someone else thinks they are cute too.

They are silly, funny little people. Did you read some of the stuff those crazies do? Did you see the blue mystery substance on the bathroom sink?

I've done more posting on my Vox journal than on my LJ, mainly because I used the Vox one to blog about my marathon training. Apparently I come up like 4th in a Google search.

We have 3 little ones. I see mystery stuff all the time. Our house looks like a tornado went through it every day. :)

I'm on there, I'm mickeyfan. I never post anything and just lurk other people's stuff :) Maybe I should post the things I hear the kids say in daycare each day...or a running count of how many times I say "did you wash your hands and flush the toilet?" in a day...;)

Which brings me to a good point, to read each other's pages you both have to add one another. iSm, this post is for you, as you asked me to add you in the soooo thread. I am enjoying reading your LJ, but if you'd like to read mine, ya gotta add me back.

I am so loving having stuff to read now that more of my LJ friends are posting regularly again. Yay LJ!

That's not quite right.

Anybody can read any post of yours that is make in public without being on your friends list or putting you on theirs.

If you have somebody on your friends list they can read any post made friends only regardless of whether you are on their friends list (though obviously, your posts won't automatically show up on their friends list page unless they add you). There are some LJs I read only when I remember to go directly to their journal since I don't want it listed on my profile.

So, if you've added iSm he can read all of your non-private posts without adding you back, he probably just won't remember to go look and see if you've made any.

Ok, I've been ignoring this thread, so I have no idea how long this has been out there. Um, I suppose your el jay ID is somewhere in this thread??


I usually get a notification is someone friends me, so I can friendzthem right back. Hmmmm.

I'm tracilicious everywhere I go. But a handy trick is that you can mouse over the "friends" tab at the top, then click on "manage friends" in the drop down. There you can see who you are a friend of and who is a friend of you. Handy stuff.

Ever correct, as usual, Alex. I always post friends only and I would never make an effort to check someone's journal if they weren't on my friends page, thus my logic didn't extend as far as yours.
