If you are stuck in some city and need a swanky tiki spot, I give you, Critiki (http://www.critiki.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi), the way to find one.

Of course, it is sad to see many spots closed, alas.

I love that the Enchanted Tiki Room (http://www.critiki.com/cgi-bin/location.cgi?loc_id=127) is listed. Alas, it is under new management, and the page recommends heading over to the Poly (a recommendation I agree with).

There's a famous place in my neighborhood - but since I'm not an imbiber, I haven't had an excuse to go... One of my pals is coming down from San Francisco for the week leading up to July 4 - so we might do a small swanking.

Very small, because they apparently have 12 seats in the whole bar.

I don't imbibe, either. That said, I think some places are cute and I think I do need to find an excuse to hit the Tonga Room at the Fairmont.

Maybe, soon and maybe with some visiting swankers if we can get schedules to collide.
