CNBC.com (http://www.cnbc.com/id/25210747) has an article about the new Toy Story Midway Mania ride. As I read the article I notice this :

There's no question that Pixar is an increasingly important driver of Disney parks. The last big attraction Disneyland launched was its "Finding Nemo" Submarine ride last year, it's working on a big "Cars" attraction for Disneyland and a "Ratatouille" ride for Euro Disney outside Paris. All these rides further proof of the fact that Disney's acquisition of Pixar was about much more than just a movie studio, it was about building brands to exploit across all its platforms, which is CEO Bob Iger's big strategy. The article didn't state whether the ride would go into Euro Disneyland or Walt Disney Studios. After some digging I discovered it's supposed to go into the studio park. Supposedly, construction begins in the fall.

Though Walt Disney Studios is a crappy park, I do like the idea of a Ratatouille attraction outside of Paris.

Hahaha, they should open a chain of restaurants!

I'm trying to think of what part of the movie they would attraction-ize. The sewer scene? A dark ride of the kitchen?

It'll be an Off-The-Shelf Crazy-mouse (think Hester & Chester)

...Irony aside, I hope it's a dark ride. :D

Shoot! I'll be there in fall! I'll miss it! Maybe they'll bring it here to the CA parks.....

I'm thinking it would be the whole movie, each room having a scene from the movie. Starting with the old ladies farm house, then going to the sewer scene, then Paris, etc. Possably a Omni Mover, like The Winnie The Pooh ride (hopefully done a bit better, with some AAs and not just plywood cut-outs!

maybe a 'rats eye view'? sewer water ride, crazy kitchen with chefs trying to cleave you, racing through alleyways, across crowded dining rooms avoiding getting stepped on....

you know...rat stuff

...The sewer scene?

I repeatedly read this as "shower scene" and was very confused.

er, do you mean the Haunted Mansion or Adventure through inner space ? cos winnie the pooh is just ride carriages (though the Tokyo ones run without visible tracks)

Is it? I only rode it once just when it opened, but I thought I remember it was OmniMover.

At any rate, yes, something like that.

Meh. It'll probably be like Buzz and Toy Story Midway Mania. You're the old lady and you need to shoot the rats with a shotgun. It'll be one big video game... again.

He He He, that would be fun! I'd like to do that in my backyard where the tree rats eat my fruits and vegitables. I watched my first red tomato ripen this week, and the day before I was going to pick it the stupid rats ate half of it. So as my second one ripend the same thing happend. I still haven't had one yet! Stupid rats!

:DI don't know that that's such a bad thing. Look at Fantasyland. "Oh gee, another dark ride. Thrilling, I'm in a curiously self-powered wooden vehicle staring at scenes from a movie. Again."

Now that I think about it, I could be pretty happy with a whole land of larger-than-life video game rides.

Yes, I like the repeatability of a video game ride, but a well made dark ride is also repeatable. I can ride Peter Pan's Flight over and over, Pooh not so much.

If it weren't in DCA, I could ride Monsters, Inc. over and over.

Buzz Lightyear, once per year and I'm fine.

Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that you're going to make this happen?

I finally got to eat one of my tomatos! I used screen to keep out the rats! I ate it with Mozerella Cheese, Olive Oil, fresh Basil (that I also grew), and Basalmic Vinagar.

Remy would have been proud.
